Chicago Bears vs. Washington Commanders Prediction

This may be the worst prime-time game of all time, but the good thing is we get to gamble on it.

Chicago will begin play with the worst record in football at 0-4.

Entering the season, Chicago had a lot of hype around their team. The Bears were seen as a young team with potential after an encouraging close to the season.

Chicago had the first overall pick and traded down in the draft as the organization believed Justin Fields was their franchise quarterback.

Fields has struggled early in the year but played his best game in Week 4. Fields has thrown for 861 yards, seven touchdowns, and five interceptions.

Running back Khalil Herbert leads the Bears team with 196 rushing yards.

Wide Receiver DJ Moore leads the Bears with 301 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

Chicago ranks second to last in football, allowing opponents 34.3 points per game.

Washington will begin play 2-2 on the season.

The Commanders have lost two games in a row to the Bills and the Eagles.

Quarterback Sam Howell has played well this season outside of Week 3 against the Bills, where he threw four interceptions. Overall, Howell has thrown for 961 yards, four touchdowns, and five interceptions.

Brian Robinson Jr. has taken over the Commander's backfield, leading the team with 61 carries. Robinson Jr. has rushed for 261 yards and three touchdowns.

Veteran wide receiver Terry McLaurin has been the favorite target of Howell. The former Buckeye leads the team with 212 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Washington's defense ranks 29th in football, allowing opponents 30.0 yards per game.

Chicago Bears vs. Washington Commanders Pick

Fields has gone over this number in two of his four games. In one of the games that Fields did not, he landed on 16.

Chicago is one of the worst teams in football, which means they will likely be in a negative game script.

A negative game script means that we will see a lot of passing from Fields.

Washington has struggled as a defense against the pass, ranking 20th in the NFL, allowing 230.0 yards per game. The game plan for the Bears should be to beat the Commanders via the pass.

Pick: Justin Fields Over 16.5 Completions -130 is currently the best odds. Click here to see which sportsbook has the best odds
