NFL Week 5 Betting Picks: Targeting the Dolphins and the Texans
With so much action underway on the weekends now, especially with MLB playoffs now underway and the NHL season right around the corner, you can never get started too early so we are going to dive into our first NFL play of the week right now. We have had a lot of success in the teaser market with the NFL lately and I am looking to ride that train into another week of NFL action right here.
NFL Week 5 Betting Picks
New York Giants vs. Miami Dolphins
I tried to trust Daniel Jones and the Giants to right the ship last week but I am now completely convinced it will not be happening, this team is a mess on both sides of the ball. Thus far, the defense is conceding 30.5 PPG and have yet to hold a team to less than 24 points yet. On the flip side, Daniel Jones has looked awful, was sacked ten times last week and the offense was held to 12 points or less for the third time in four games last week. The last time the Miami Dolphins were at Hard Rock they dropped 70 points on a defense of similar stature. This team is legit and in a massive rebound spot after a tough road loss to a Bills squad that got the best of them. I cannot see this leg losing.
Houston Texans vs. Atlanta Falcons
As a Houston supporter, this is the first time in a long time (about five years) I have thought this team can genuinely continue to even play somewhat competitive football. The guys on defense are getting better every week in a big way and the culture shift is changing the attitude of the players. CJ Stroud is a winner and a leader, this offense has been excellent with him under center in the last two weeks in which they put up 37 against Jacksonville and 30 against Pittsburgh. I love Houston on them money line this week so getting this line seems like a no brainer.
