The Baltimore Ravens have been a well-oiled machine through the first four weeks of the season. Lamar Jackson has shined in the Ravens’ new-look offense as Baltimore sits atop the AFC North. Will the Ravens stay hot as they head to Pittsburgh to face off against a division rival, or will Kenny Pickett silence the doubters with an upset on his home turf?

Baltimore Ravens vs. Pittsburgh Steelers Prediction
Kenny Pickett has been catching some heat for his early season play. He’s also been battling through a knee injury. Well, Pickett’s name was removed from the injury report yesterday. The Pittsburgh Steelers are going to need Kenny to be locked in if they want a chance in this contest, and I’m willing to bet he over-exceeds all expectations this afternoon.
We’ve seen plenty of struggling quarterbacks put up their best games of their season after getting chirped by the media. Justin Fields is coming off two career games after getting dragged for weeks by the media. Even Zach Wilson shined against Kansas City last week after Chiefs players’ chirped Wilson all week. We are starting to hear some doubts about Kenny Pickett and his early-season struggles through the air. I’m fully expecting him to shred the Ravens’ secondary today, putting all those doubts to rest.
The Ravens have given up the third-fewest yards per game through the air. To be fair, they played two backup QBs, a banged-up Joe Burrow and CJ Stroud in his first NFL game of the season. Their wins aren’t as good as they look on paper so far this year. This content in Pittsburgh will be their toughest challenge of the season in a significant letdown spot.
Baltimore is feeling confident, sitting at 3-1 atop the division coming off a blowout victory in Cleveland. The Steelers, on the other hand, are coming off a brutal loss (30-6) against the Texans as a three point favorite. This is a great spot to buy low on the Steelers, a team who knows how to play the Ravens extremely close. Mike Tomlin is a covering machine; he’ll have his guys fired up ready to play against a division rival this afternoon.
Since 2021, either team hasn’t won by more than three points in this series. No matter how good Baltimore or Pittsburgh is, these games are always closer than they should be. This truly is one of the best rivalries in all of sports. With 32% of bets but 49% of handle backing the Steelers on the spread, the splits are definitely sharp. Back the Steelers on the spread at home to keep this game within a field goal. This is a huge letdown spot for the Ravens on the road who haven’t run into any real challenges this season. Fade Lamar, and back Tomlin and the Steel Curtain to cover.
