7 minDallas Cowboys vs. San Francisco 49ers Prediction: Can Brock Purdy, 49ers Win This NFC Showdown on SNF?
The San Francisco 49ers come into this matchup undefeated with a record of 4-0, and really have not been tested in any of their games to this point as they have pretty much steam rolled all of their opponents. Brock Purdy and Christian McCaffrey have that offense cooking and no defense has been able to slow them down to this point, but the Dallas Cowboys may have something to say about that.

Dallas Cowboys vs. San Francisco 49ers Prediction
The Cowboys have one of the best defenses in the NFC and are coming off an incredible performance against the patriots in which they only allowed three points scored twp defensive touchdowns in the game, which is nearly unheard of in today’s NFL. The Cowboys defense will be the toughest defensive unit that the 49ers have faced all season, so Brock Purdy will have his work cut out for him against Micah Parsons and the Cowboys stout front seven.
Purdy has been one of the more efficient quarterbacks in the NFL this season as he has one of the highest QBRs through four games to this point. A lot of people like to call Purdy a glorified game manager based on the high level of players surrounded around him but I think he is much better than that. In his short time as the starting quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers, he has elevated them to a new level on the offensive end.
They have scored over 30 points in every game this season and are coming off one of their best offensive games of the season against the Cardinals in which they scored 35 points and were barely stopped for the entire game. Neither team has played the hardest schedule to this point, but the Cowboys have not faced an offense nearly as good as the 49ers to this point.
They faced the Giants, who have one of the worst offenses in the NFL, the Cardinals, who have a below average offensive unit, the Jets, who also have a well below average offensive unit with Zach Wilson at the quarterback position, and then the patriots who are reeling on offense and have no identity with Mac Jones.
In the one game against Arizona, where the Cowboys need a Dak Prescott to score and move the ball, he was unable to do so, throwing, essentially a game ending interception as they stalled in the red zone nearly every time throughout that contest. Prescott and the Cowboys are an above average offensive unit but they simply do not have the fire power to move the ball consistently against this San Francisco defense.
The loss of Trevon Diggs on the outside for the Cowboys on defense will also be huge as it could open up a mismatch for Deebo Samuel or Brandon Aiyuk for one-on-one opportunities. This will be the best offense and defense that the Cowboys have faced all season and I think they are going to get hit in the mouth on both sides of the ball. With that being said, I am rolling with San Francisco ML at -170 (Risk 2U) as I think the Niners pull away with this one in the end. I also like -3 or -3.5 but I feel the ML is a bit safer here.
