In just four games, Addison is proving that the Vikings made the right decision by drafting him. He has recorded 50+ yards receiving in three of four games and has found the end zone twice.
Last week was the first real bump in the road for the rookie wideout as he finished with a goose egg in the yards department. He was only targeted once but still made a big impact on the game as he beat his man deep drawing a 45 yard pass interference penalty.
The game environment should be a lot more friendly for Addison this week as the Vikings take on another high powered offense in the Kansas City Chiefs. Addison has an 80% route participation when the Vikings are trailing, compared to just 58% when they are playing with a lead or tied. The Chiefs come into this game favored by four points.
Addison hasn’t seen a ton of man coverage this season but he was elite vs. man coverage in college and should have success against a Kansas City secondary that runs man at a top 10 rate. Expect a bounce back performance from the promising rookie and take the over on his receiving yards.
