Will Mahomes tear up the Broncos poor defense tonight, or will Denver show some heart on the road and clamp up?

I’ll be honest, I don’t typically love fading Patrick Mahomes. Tonight, I am left with no choice. Although the Broncos have given up the fourth-most yards per game through the air this season, I’m willing to buy-low on on this unit with Pat Surtain, Kareem Jackson and Justin Simmons roaming the secondary.
Kansas City is seventh in the NFL in passing yards per game, but the number is lower than you’d guess. Mahomes averaging 258 yards per game through the air. Tonight, his prop is set at o/u 272.5. You’re telling me Mahomes is throwing fifteen more yards tonight than he normally does against the big names in that secondary on a short week with a banged-up Travis Kelce? I don’t think so…
The total in this game has dropped since the opening lines were released, making me think this game is going under. I’ll be on that tonight as well, with the public expecting a shootout between Mahomes and Russ. The Chiefs’ defense is much better than perceived, and Chris Jones is going to be a problem once against tonight against this poor Broncos offensive line. If Russ wants to win this game, he is going to have to use his feet, and at 34 years old I just don’t know if he has enough gas left in the tank at this point.
Although betting the under in a primetime game isn’t fun, it’s a profitable betting strategy. Over 60% of unders cashed in primetime games last year, and they’ve been smacking through the first five weeks of this season as well. Unfortunately for our viewing pleasure, we aren’t going to get the offensive shootout the public desires for tonight.
