Thursday Night Football Anytime TD Picks

Rashee Rice Anytime Touchdown +240 Click here to see which sportsbook has the best odds

Rashee Rice is rapidly emerging as a top target for Patrick Mahomes. With Travis Kelce not operating at 100% and missing intermittent time throughout the season, Mahomes has had to go elsewhere in a new-look receiving corps that has struggled early on. The Chiefs lost several top targets over the past few seasons, with Mecole Hardman and Juju Smith-Schuster departing for the AFC East after the Super Bowl. The Chiefs WR room has always been filled with speedy talents and trustworthy targets, but there was concern after the opening night loss to the Lions that times had changed.

Rashee Rice has stepped up to fill the void left by the departing veterans, and is already making an impact on the offense. The rookie out of SMU is leading the Kansas City WRs in targets, second only to TE Kelce. He has seen 24 balls come his way from Mahomes through five weeks, and hauled in 17 of them for 173 yards. He has also added two all important touchdowns as part of the 17 grabs, and has been a safety net for his MVP QB in the red zone. He has a quarter of the team's red zone targets, and leads the way with four catches inside the 20.

It is tough to take a KC wide receiver for a touchdown prop, as Mahomes loves to spread the ball around to his dozens of targets, but Rice has a better chance than the rest to haul in a crucial score at some point tonight.

Travis Kelce Anytime Touchdown -140 Click here to see which sportsbook has the best odds

As if he wasn't popular enough before, Travis Kelce has skyrocketed to a whole new level in 2023 as the face of the NFL. His new relationship with Taylor Swift has grabbed international headlines, and garnered a massive ratings boost for the league as Kelce jerseys fly off the shelves.

Despite all of the noise, Kelce has continued to perform on the field. Kelce has also battled injuries in 2023, but it hasn't hampered his production in the brief absences. He leads the Chiefs in targets with 37, even with missing Week 1 due to a leg injury. He is fresh off a 10 catch performance against the Vikings despite exiting and returning due to a non-contact ankle injury. He scored in that game, and in three of his four total appearances. As part of an offense that is still looking for its top wide receiver, Kelce offers the classic size and stability that Mahomes routinely turns to the in the red zone, making Kelce another solid play week after week, especially against a weak Broncos unit.

Jerry Jeudy Anytime Touchdown +260 Click here to see which sportsbook has the best odds

Jerry Jeudy comes in with the most intriguing storyline to this matchup. The former first round pick has had an up and down career through his first four seasons, often hampered by injuries. But he has also shown flashes of the brilliance and speed that prompted him to be taken No. 15 overall out of Alabama. Now, Jeudy is reportedly sitting on the trade block ahead of Thursday Night's clash against the Chiefs as their season rapidly slips away.

Tread carefully in this one, as the Broncos have begun moving their assets already. They have moved on from two pass rushers, making deals with Randy Gregory and Frank Clark in recent days. There is a chance that Jeudy could be a healthy scratch right before game time, if these trade rumors come to fruition sooner than expected. If that is the case, Cortland Sutton is another good option at the same +260 odds for Wilson to target as they attempt to put up a fight against the Chiefs.

However, the trade logic could play a positive role in this pick as well. Jeudy is second on the team in targets despite missing the first game due to injury, seeing 24 passes come his way so far. He hauled in 17 of them for 208 yards, including six of seven last week against the Jets. Even with this success, he has yet to find the end zone in 2023, a rare feat for the speedster. Last December against the Chiefs, Jeudy balled out with three touchdowns in a loss, showing he knows how to score on this Kansas City defense. If he suits up and is a full participant tonight, look for Jeudy to try and put on a show as the Broncos attempt to bolster his trade value in the coming days.
