NFL Rushing Props: Targeting David Montgomery on the Week 6 RB Cheat Sheet

There's been a lot of change at running back throughout the season. If you chose to stay away from running backs early and found your guys in the waiver pool, you're likely feeling good about yourself heading into Week 6 of the NFL season in fantasy.

Our goal is to make you feel great about yourself with a couple of prop wins today. Here are a few running back prop bets to consider for today's NFL action.

Make sure to check my other articles for the positions, including quarterbacks and wide receivers.

NFL RB Cheat Sheet Week 6

David Montgomery Anytime Touchdown (-150) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best odds

David Montgomery will be the goal-line back for the Lions throughout the season. He'll be the workhorse for now and even when Jahmyr Gibbs returns.

Montgomery's the RB1. He's already rushed for 371 yards on 88 carries and has six rushing touchdowns in five games.

He's averaging more than a touchdown per game this season. Now, he'll face one of the worst rushing defenses in the NFL. I like Montgomery to find the end zone today.

James Cook Over 60.5 Rushing Yards (-113) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best odds

James Cook leads the Bills with 292 yards rushing on 61 carries. He's not getting all the goal-line carries and sharing attempts with two other veteran runners. But the Giants have been terrible against the run.

Cook should do some damage.

New York has allowed 151.4 yards per game on the ground. Meanwhile, Cook has earned 4.8 yards per game. He just struggled to do much of anything against the Jaguars in London when he got five carries for -4 yards.

Don't look at that stat. He'll get at least 12 carries and should break loose against the Giants' rush defense.

Raheem Mostert Over 77.5 Rushing Yards (-110) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best odds

The news about De'Von Achane stinks. But Raheem Mostert is still around. He's been the No. 1 running back for the Dolphins since opening day. He's not going to stop performing because Achane is out magically.

Mostert has earned at least ten carries in all but one game this season. He's taking on a Panthers defense that has allowed 140.8 yards per game on the ground.

The Dolphins will likely lead in this game throughout and rush the football when the game is out of reach. Mostert will get plenty of carries and should break free like many running backs have against the Panthers this year.
