Last week's slate was not good for parlays. A lot of public, highly bet teams lost and gave the sportsbooks a lot of money. But that's old news. It's a new week on Sunday. I've got a Week 8 parlay that I'm feeling super confident about heading into the weekend. Let's get right to it!
Week 8 NFL Parlay
Philadelphia Eagles -6.5 (-115)
I know the Washington Commanders played the Philadelphia Eagles well last time out. But things have changed since then. The Eagles earned a 31-17 win against the Dolphins last time out, while the Commanders scored just seven points against the Giants in a 14-7 loss. Washington's moving backward, while the Eagles are moving forward. The Philadelphia defense is only getting better, while the Commanders are struggling to get their best players involved on offense.
New Orleans Saints +1.5 (-115)
The New Orleans Saints' defense doesn't get enough credit. They've held teams to below 300 yards per game, including only 200.6 yards in the air and 98.7 yards on the ground. The secondary is fantastic, and they're big up front, in the run game, and with the pass rush. They'll take a Colts offense that is led by Gardner Minshew. He's not a bad backup quarterback. But he's going to make mistakes. Those mistakes will surely happen against the Saints' defense. Minshew has five passing touchdowns but also four interceptions. On the other hand, the Colts have allowed over 250 yards per game in the air. They've also allowed 118.7 yards on the ground. Indianapolis has missed countless tackles and has a secondary that can be beaten. Look for the Saints to have success throwing the football against the Colts. That could jumpstart the New Orleans offense, after all.
Chicago Bears +8.5 (-110)
Tyson Bagent on Sunday Night Football against the Los Angeles Chargers? Sign me up. Bagent's attitude and leadership have shocked the world. He and the Bears earned a convincing 30-12 win over the Raiders after Bagent completed 72.4% of passes with one touchdown. Chicago is down to a lot of backups on offense. But they'll take on a Chargers defense that has allowed 432.3 yards per game, including 335.5 yards in the air. With Bagent's confidence, the passing game could be huge on Sunday Night. Meanwhile, the Bears are also poor on defense. But the Chargers seem a bit overhyped this year. Justin Herbert's more-or-less a .500 quarterback and some decision-making throughout Brandon Staley's tenure have been head-scratching With 8.5 points, I'll gladly take the Bears in this spot.
