9 minNFL Player Props Week 8: Top Anytime TD Scorer Bets
We're back with NFL Week 8 anytime touchdown scorer bets to make during a fully loaded 16-game slate. In Week 7, we marginally improved from going 1-4 the previous week, finishing 2-3, as Jerome Ford (+125) and Jaylen Warren (+170) both scored rushing touchdowns. While Wan'Dale Robinson (+500) was a bit of a dart throw with huge odds, Tyler Lockett (+135) saw most of the red zone volume go to Seattle's rookie wideouts, while Christian Watson (+200) failed to get going during another poor outing from Jordan Love.
There's so many good prospects to target in Week 8 for a variety of reasons. With every team playing, the lines should be a bit more advantageous for us, while we're starting to collect enough data to understand which defenses are susceptible to certain play calling, while also recognizing offensive coordinator preferences and tendencies. Combining defensive weaknesses with player opportunity allows us to form an accurate series of predictions in one of the most entertaining NFL sports betting markets available.
NFL handicapper Matt MacKay is here to share his latest anytime touchdown scorer props to wager on the NFL Week 8 slate. Best of luck ahead of Sunday's opening kickoffs!
Best NFL Week 8 Anytime TD Bets
A.J. Brown Anytime Touchdown Scorer (+110) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best odds
The last time A.J. Brown played Washington, he exploded for nine receptions, 175 yards, and two touchdowns on 13 targets. He hasn't slowed down since that Week 4 overtime win and now, he'll face arguably the worst pass defense in the league for the second time this season. Brown has scored a touchdown in eight of his last ten road games against divisional opponents, but he's only scored three total touchdowns this season. Washington hasn't surrendered a rushing touchdown since their Week 4 loss to Philadelphia, allowing D'Andre Swift to score a five-yard rushing touchdown. Jalen Hurts didn't score in the first matchup, and while he's been consistent near the goal-line as an anytime touchdown scorer, expect Brown to extend his 100-yard receiving streak to six games on Sunday in D.C., while adding at least one touchdown against a bottom-tier Commanders pass defense.
Breece Hall Anytime Touchdown Scorer (+110) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best odds
We've seen Breece Hall give the Jets' offense an immediate spark with his big-play ability and hard-running style. Now, the second-year running back, one year removed from an ACL tear, gets a top-three matchup against the New York Giants' porous run defense. The Giants have allowed 10 rushing touchdowns and 5.0 yards per attempt this season, while Hall is handling 57 percent of the Jets' rush share and also receives 15 percent of target share since getting freed from the snap count he was previously held under. This could easily be a two-touchdown outing for Hall, but let's not get greedy and place a couple of units on Hall to score a touchdown for the third consecutive week in a fantastic matchup at MetLife Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
George Pickens Anytime Touchdown Scorer (+230) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best odds
The return of Diontae Johnson to Pittsburgh's offense should continue to help second-year wideout George Pickens with softer coverage and more opportunities for him to create explosive plays downfield. We've seen Pickens and Kenny Pickett establish a solid rapport this season, as Pickens has scored 41-yard and 71-yard receiving touchdowns against the Browns and Ravens. Now, Pickens gets Jacksonville's pass defense, which has allowed 10 receiving touchdowns this season, tied for fifth-most in the league. Pickens has scored a touchdown in each of the Steelers' last four home games against AFC opponents, so let's hammer his anytime touchdown scorer odds at +230.
Devin Singletary Anytime Touchdown Scorer (+260) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best odds
While the Texans' offense is a pass-centric attack behind rookie quarterback C.J. Stroud, Devin Singletary's role within the offense is intriguing. It also helps that he'll face the Panthers' run defense in Week 8, which has allowed 12 rushing touchdowns through six games played, which is tied for most in the league alongside the Indianapolis Colts, who have played one more game than Carolina. Singletary has seven fewer red zone touches than Dameon Pierce, but he's averaging 2.6 YPC versus 0.5 YPC for Pierce. Houston's going to be in the red zone often on Sunday, and while the receiving corps seems the obvious choice, Singletary's anytime touchdown odds at +260 are too tempting to pass on. Singletary handled 14 touches in Week 6 prior to the Texans' Bye Week, which is the most he's logged this season, so expect him to earn enough value touches near the end zone to cash his lucrative anytime touchdown scorer prop at +260 odds on the road in Week 8.
Dak Prescott Anytime Touchdown Scorer (+390) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best odds
Dallas and Los Angeles will face off in the early afternoon window on Sunday, with the Rams bringing one of the league's worst run defenses to Arlington. While this creates obvious opportunity for Cowboys running back Tony Pollard, he hasn't scored nearly as much this season, plus his odds to score a touchdown are nearly -200 at most online sportsbooks. The value play in this matchup for an anytime touchdown scorer is Dak Prescott. We've seen Prescott perform well as a ball carrier this season, including a season-high seven carries for 40 yards and a touchdown against the Chargers during their last game played. The Rams have allowed four different quarterbacks to score a rushing touchdown this year, so Prescott is due to be the next in line, coming in as a premium value at +390 odds. Let's throw a unit on Prescott to find the end zone as a ball carrier at home in a plus-matchup against the Rams' leaky run defense in Week 8.
