One of the most exciting NFL betting markets available at online sportsbooks is the anytime touchdown scorer prop. Betting on touchdowns is an exciting way to get action on any of your preferred NFL games and we've got an All-Pro lineup in Week 9. Kansas City and Miami face off in Frankfurt, Germany in the morning, while some of Sunday's remaining matchups include Baltimore vs. Seattle, Dallas vs. Philadelphia, and Buffalo vs. Cincinnati.
In the Week 8 anytime touchdown scorer article, we wound up going 3-of-5, hitting on the red-hot A.J. Brown at +110 odds, Breece Hall at +110 odds, and George Pickens in garbage time to cash a +230 ticket despite catching a pass from backup quarterback Mitchell Trubisky. Devin Singletary didn't hit at +260, but he did handle a red-zone carry inside the five-yard line, so the opportunity was there for us. Dak Prescott's +390 anytime touchdown scorer odds were too tempting to pass up, but the Cowboys' signal-caller opted to shred the Rams through the air, finishing with over 300 passing yards and four touchdowns.
NFL handicapper Matt MacKay is here to share his latest anytime touchdown scorer props to wager on the NFL Week 9 slate. Good luck and enjoy Sunday's wall-to-wall action!
Best NFL Week 9 Anytime TD Bets
Gus Edwards Anytime Touchdown Scorer (+110) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best odds
Gus Edwards is now in his fifth year in the NFL, all with Baltimore, and he's cementing himself as the undisputed RB1 following another season-ending injury to J.K. Dobbins. Speculation about Derrick Henry to Baltimore quieted down prior to the end of the trade deadline, as Edwards turned 19 carries into three rushing touchdowns on the road against Arizona in Week 8.
Edwards has at least 15 touches in three consecutive games and has scored four rushing touchdowns during this recent stretch. The Seahawks only give up 3.6 yards per carry, but they have surrendered multiple rushing touchdowns in the red zone, recently a one-yard carry to Kareem Hunt in Week 8. Edwards is handling valuable touches instead of Lamar Jackson, who the franchise opted to pay and extend, so the Ravens' RB1 should continue to feast on goal-line carries to cash his anytime touchdown scorer ticket at plus odds at home in Week 9.
Aaron Jones Anytime Touchdown Scorer (+125) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best odds
Packers head coach Matt LaFleur announced that Aaron Jones would "be cut loose" in Week 9 after he's been limited in recent weeks due to a nagging hamstring injury. Green Bay's offense has been stale and largely anemic through most of the 2023 season, so getting an explosive playmaker like Jones back at full health is big. The Rams are a plus-matchup for Jones on Sunday, allowing 4.1 yards per attempt and nine rushing touchdowns in eight games.
Jones has scored a touchdown in three of his past four games against the Rams, plus he's in line to see 15-25 touches against a porous Rams run defense. +125 odds is solid value for Jones in his first alleged game at 100 percent since Week 1. Jordan Love isn't afraid to take deep shots down field to his wideouts either, putting the Packers into scoring position for Jones to cash in at +125.
Demario Douglas Anytime Touchdown Scorer (+250) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best odds
Following Kendrick Bourne's season-ending ACL tear in Week 8, sixth-round rookie wideout Demario Douglas saw seven targets, tying his season-high from Week 1. Douglas is a speedy slot player who should continue to earn more reps and targets on Sunday against Washington. The Commanders are among the league's worst pass defenses, allowing a league-high 18 receiving touchdowns this season.
In their last four games, Washington has given up 12 receiving touchdowns, so Douglas should get some quality looks from Mac Jones at home in Foxboro. He's already recorded three red zone targets, while only converting these opportunities into one reception for two yards. It's arguably the easiest matchup Davis has faced in his career though, so at +250 odds, we're obligated to stake a unit on the rookie wideout's anytime touchdown scorer prop.
Rashid Shaheed Anytime Touchdown Scorer (+260) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best odds
Any wideout facing the Chicago Bears' pass defense finds themselves in a favorable matchup. This is the case for Saints' second-year wideout, Rashid Shaheed, who has already racked up three receiving touchdowns through eight games, surpassing the two touchdowns he logged as a rookie in 12 games. Derek Carr loves taking deep shots off of play action in a run-centric New Orleans offense, which usually has Shaheed on the other end of these pass attempts.
Even though Chris Olave and Michael Thomas are at a 28 percent and 22 percent target share, Shaheed is still earning a lot of valuable targets downfield and in the red zone with his 14 percent share. Shaheed has one reception for 19 yards and a touchdown on three red zone targets, while also seeing 86.6 air yards per game, which is more than Thomas. He's also seen four end zone targets despite only getting three red zone targets, demonstrating Carr's preference to target Shaheed from further out. The Bears have given up at least one receiving touchdown to a wideout in five straight games, while its run defense is improved, so let's stake a unit on Shaheed at +260 odds in the Caesars Superdome, where he hasn't scored since a go-ahead touchdown over Tennessee back in Week 1.
Jordan Addison Anytime Touchdown Scorer (+280) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best odds
Arguably the most automatic touchdown scorer in the past month, rookie wideout Jordan Addison will have to adjust to passes from Kirk Cousins to rookie quarterback Jaren Hall in Week 9. The good news is that we can get Addison at +280 odds, which is directly correlated with the unknown quality of play to anticipate from his rookie signal caller on Sunday.
Addison has scored a touchdown in four consecutive games, amassing five touchdowns during this streak, while recording seven total touchdowns on the year. He'll face an Atlanta pass defense that has allowed 15 receiving touchdowns through eight games, giving up a 5.9 percent touchdown rate on pass attempts, third-highest in the league. The Falcons just got rinsed by another rookie quarterback making his debut, Will Levis, who threw for four touchdowns against Atlanta in Week 8, so Hall shouldn't have a ton of trouble finding the Vikings' de facto WR1 while Justin Jefferson remains sidelined on I.R.
At +280 odds, we're getting too much value due to a price dip on Hall's presence under center, so against one of the league's worst pass defenses, Addison warrants a two-unit wager staked on his anytime touchdown scorer prop on the road against Atlanta in Week 9.
