On Thanksgiving, the Washington Commanders will travel to AT&T Stadium for an afternoon matchup against the Dallas Cowboys.
The Commanders are coming off a brutal 31-19 loss to the New York Giants. After that loss, Washington has lost four of its last five games. Meanwhile, the Cowboys have won four of their previous five games. They're also 4-0 at home and will be home for this game against the Commanders.
Does Washington even stand a chance on Thanksgiving?

Sam Howell and the Washington Commanders are sitting at 4-7 on the season. Two of those seven losses are from the Giants. If you remove those two games, they'd be about a .500 team.
However, the Commanders have still allowed 27.73 points while earning only 21.45 points this season. They've been below average on both sides of the ball.
The run game has been solid behind Brian Robinson Jr. He's done great on the ground but has been even better as a pass catcher recently.
However, the Cowboys have one of the best defenses in the NFL. Dallas has held opponents to 157.1 yards in the air and 109.2 yards on the ground. Through more than half of the year, opponents have struggled to earn consistent yardage against the Cowboys this season.
On the other hand, the Cowboys are getting much better play out of Dak Prescott this season. Prescott has 19 passing touchdowns and only six interceptions. That's a big difference from last year when he led the league in interceptions.
He's making much better reads and has a reliable connection with CeeDee Lamb. Lamb already has over 1,000 yards receiving with five touchdowns on 74 receptions this season.
Prescott has averaged over 250 yards per game in the air, and the run game has gained 116.8 yards.
Washington made some moves at the Trade Deadline that set them backward a bit on the defensive line. With the defensive front playing worse and the Cowboys playing exceptionally well offensively, let's take a chance on the Cowboys at -11.
Dallas has blown out the Giants and Panthers. Now it's time to do the same against Washington.
