Buffalo Bills vs. Philadelphia Eagles Prediction
A lot of people wrote the Bills off after their loss to the Denver Broncos two weeks ago. Like Geno Smith famously said, “they didn’t write back though.” Buffalo destroyed one of the best defenses in the NFL last week in a 32-6 smackdown against the Jets.
What really impressed me was Buffalo’s defense in that contest. I know they were facing Zach Wilson, but that is the first time we’ve seen this Bills defense look elite all season. If this team wants to lock in down the stretch, they are going to have to rely on their defense to make plays like they did last week against the Jets.
The Eagles might be 9-1, but we can all agree they haven’t looked as elite as they did a season ago. Jalen Hurts is either hobbled by an injury or playing like he’s holding something back. The Eagles really haven’t ran Hurts much this year, which tells me he might be dealing with a lingering injury.
Whether Philly has looked great or not, they’ve still gotten the job done in nearly every game this season. They’re coming off a comeback victory against the defending Super Bowl Champions. Right now is when we want to sell-high on this Eagles team that simply can’t keep skirting by on come from behind victories.
The Bills might be 6-5, but they finally played like the elite Buffalo team we know they are last week. If they can carry that momentum into Sunday’s contest against the Eagles, they can not only cover this spread, but win.
The Eagles deserve their flowers for a 9-1 record putting them atop the NFC, but if you’ve watched their games you’d know that they’ve had luck on their side for way too long. This is the perfect spot to finally cash fading Philly, backing the revamped Bills with Josh Allen under center.
