5 minNFL PLAYER PROPS WEEK 13: TOP ANYTIME TD SCORER BETS
We're back with an NFL Week 13 edition of top NFL anytime touchdown scorer bets to wager following our last Week 12 outing over Thanksgiving. We went 2-2 in Week 12 thanks to Jayden Reed (+260) and Brandin Cooks (+250) scoring, while players with shorter odds, like George Kittle (+190) and Amon-Ra St. Brown (+105) failed to find the end zone. It was a useful case study, reminding us that shorter odds don't necessarily equate to touchdowns, so don't be scared to invest in a player with longer anytime touchdown scorer odds that hasn't hit pay dirt in a few games.
Week 13 has six teams on Bye, including Baltimore, Buffalo, and Minnesota, so there's going to be a lot more focus from oddsmakers and sharp bettors due to fewer lines to assess. However, the good news is that there are some lopsided matchups for us to exploit. These may not make for great entertainment from a pure football fan perspective, but when it comes to betting on anytime touchdown scorers, it's exactly what we prefer.
Several of the most one-sided games on tap during the Week 13 NFL slate feature Miami against Washington's porous pass defense, Pittsburgh's run-centric offense facing Arizona's lackluster run defense, San Francisco's potent passing attack against Philadelphia's turn-style secondary, and Tampa Bay going up versus Carolina's weak run defense, leading the league in defensive rushing touchdowns allowed (18) through 11 games. These are just a few of the matchups to exploit from an anytime touchdown bettor perspective, but most of the games in Week 13 have plenty of value for us to locate and invest in.
NFL handicapper Matt MacKay is back to share his latest Week 13 anytime touchdown scorer props to wager ahead of kickoff on Sunday afternoon.
BEST NFL WEEK 13 ANYTIME TD BETS
NAJEE HARRIS ANYTIME TD SCORER (-110) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best odds
Pittsburgh was humming in terms of yards logged during their first game without former OC Matt Canada in Week 12, with Najee Harris earning 15 carries for 99 yards and the Steelers' lone touchdown on the road against a porous Cincinnati run defense. Week 13 sends the Steelers back home at 7-4, with Harris facing another top-three matchup against the Cardinals' run defense, which has allowed 16 rushing touchdowns this season, surrendering nine touchdowns to running backs across their last five games.
Harris splits touches with Jaylen Warren, but Harris' usage as a goal-line back due to his big-bodied frame keeps him in a great position to score a rushing touchdown for the fourth time in the past five games. -110 isn't too much juice to take on investing in Harris' touchdown outlook, so let's keep it rolling and invest a couple of units on Harris returning to the end zone in a cake matchup as the lead running back in a run-centric offense.
KEENAN ALLEN ANYTIME TD SCORER (+100) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best odds
We saw Keenan Allen pull in 14 receptions on 16 targets in Week 12 against the Ravens but he was unable to score for the Chargers. This time around though, Allen will face a Patriots pass defense that has been leaky all season long, allowing seven receiving touchdowns since a mid-October road trip to Las Vegas.
Allen is the main motor in the Chargers' injury-decimated offense, while Austin Ekeler has yet to get going in an anemic running game. Allen commands volume and there will be plenty of opportunities for franchise quarterback Justin Herbert to link up with his favorite weapon in the Chargers' passing attack, resulting in his eighth touchdown of the 2023 season. We're getting even odds, so don't hesitate to invest a unit or two on Allen bouncing back in what is undoubtedly a must-win game for Los Angeles on the road against an underachieving New England team.
AMON-RA ST. BROWN ANYTIME TD SCORER (+125) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best odds
Amon-Ra St. Brown was another top wideout who earned volume in Week 12 but failed to find the end zone, catching nine passes for 95 yards on 11 targets against a good Green Bay pass defense. Now, St. Brown and the Lions travel to New Orleans to face a Saints defense that has surrendered 14 receiving touchdowns this season, allowing 5.7 net yards per pass attempt.
Jared Goff didn't have a good game, committing three turnovers against the Packers, resulting in a loss. Expect Detroit to come out firing early with an aggressive game plan, plus, the Saints are missing Marcus Maye in their secondary and Pete Werner in their linebacking corps. A slew of other injuries along the defensive front for New Orleans means Goff won't be under much duress at the line of scrimmage, giving him ample time to locate his favorite target downfield. St. Brown has turned 14 red zone targets into three touchdowns this season, so expect him to log his sixth in a solid spot against the Saints on Sunday.
RACHAAD WHITE ANYTIME TD SCORER (+130) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best odds
Second-year running back Rachaad White has been a volume machine for the Buccaneers' offense in 2023. White took awhile to get going, but lately, he's been ripping chunk plays on the ground and as a receiver out of the backfield. In Week 13, White draws a top-two running back matchup against the Panthers' horrific run defense, which has allowed 18 rushing touchdowns, ranked 32nd in the league.
White plays Carolina for the first time this season, coming in fresh off of a 100-yard rushing game against Indianapolis. White scored four total touchdowns in a three-game span prior to Week 12, which included a rushing touchdown against San Francisco's stout defensive front, so he's a huge value to invest in at +130 against the lowly Carolina run defense at home in Week 13.
JAYLEN WADDLE ANYTIME TD SCORER (+135) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best odds
Miami's entire offense should be viewing Washington as another opponent that could wind up allowing them to score 70 points, just like Denver did back in Week 3. Jaylen Waddle is no longer on the Dolphins' injury report and faces Washington's pass defense, ranked 32nd in the league for receiving touchdowns (28) allowed this season.
Waddle caught all eight of his targets against a tough Jets defense in Week 12, finishing with 114 yards. He's riding a three-game touchdown drought, tied for his longest of the season, and now, Waddle gets a bounce-back spot against a Commanders pass defense that cannot stop a nose bleed. Tyreek Hill is juiced up at -140, but Waddle is available to us at +135 for an anytime touchdown scorer prop, which is too tempting to pass on. Head coach Mike McDaniel emphasized the importance of Waddle's health due to his role in the Dolphins' offense, so expect Waddle to find the end zone and end his three-game slump on the road against a hapless Washington pass defense in Week 13.
