Tonight's game is a complete mess from an NFL fan standpoint. The total is just 30 points, meaning there are not expected to be many touchdowns. It's a matchup between two backup quarterbacks on two very bad offenses, and as such, the first touchdown market is crazy.

Per DraftKings, the most bet first touchdown scorer is "No Touchdown Scorer" at +2000. The third-most bet first touchdown scorer prop is the Steeler's defense. The fifth-most bet first touchdown prop is the Patriot's defense. Even the public thinks this game will be horrible, and the betting markets reflect that sentiment. However, I am keen on targeting backup quarterback Mitch Trubisky in the touchdown market.
Mitch Trubisky, at +2100 to score the first touchdown, has higher odds than no touchdown to be scored. I am taking this bet because of the value and likelihood we see it happen. A few weeks ago, we hit Justin Watson first TD +3000 in the Kansas City Chiefs game in primetime. Why not get a quarterback sneak to kick off the scoring tonight?
Mitch Trubisky hasn't played a ton as the backup. He hasn't started a game yet this year, and he started five last year in his first year in Pittsburgh. He had two touchdowns in those five games. This year, we have seen the quarterback sneak become a lot more popular on the goal line with the Eagles making the tush push famous, and if the Steelers have the ball on the goal line, Trubisky could easily score it himself. Considering the odds are astronomical on him, I will take him to score first and anytime.
