Los Angeles Chargers vs. Las Vegas Raiders Prediction

The Chargers come into this contest representing a record of 5-8.

It has been a season from hell for the Chargers.

Of their eight losses, five are by three points or less.

As if things could not get any worse, it was announced this week that starting quarterback Justin Herbert would miss the remainder of the season.

Head coach Brandon Staley is on the hot seat, and there is a good chance this will be his last season at the helm for the Chargers.

The playoffs are unlikely for this Chargers team, who will have to turn to backup quarterback Easton Stick.

Stick has thrown for 179 yards, zero touchdowns, and zero interceptions. The 28-year-old has limited experience as a starter in his career.

Running back Austin Eckler has shown signs of slowing down this season. Eckler has rushed for 497 yards and five touchdowns.

The Chargers will be without their star wide receiver Keenan Allen tonight. Allen leads the team with 1,243 yards, which ranks fourth in football.

The Chargers' defense ranks 17th, allowing opponents 21.7 points per game.

The Raiders will come into this game with a record of 5-8.

This Raiders team was picked to finish in last place in the AFC West in the pre-season.

Las Vegas fired their head coach, Josh McDaniels, early in the season and turned to interim head coach Antonio Pierce. Pierce has done a good job since taking over.

Along with a coaching change, there was a change at quarterback as the team benched Jimmy Garoppolo and turned to rookie Aidan O’Connell.

O’Connell has thrown for 1,365 yards, four touchdowns, and seven interceptions.

Josh Jacobs leads the Raiders rushing attack. Jacobs has scampered for 805 yards and six touchdowns.

Davante Adams is on his way to another 1,000-yard receiving season, leading the team with 867 yards.

The Raiders defense ranks ninth in points allowed per game (19.9).

Los Angeles Chargers vs. Las Vegas Raiders Pick

The Raiders will be the more motivated team tonight.

Las Vegas will also be the healthier team tonight.

Stick has limited experience, and he faces an elite pass rush led by Maxx Crosby.

This Raiders defense ranks in the top ten in points allowed per game, and they will be able to limit the Chargers, who are missing their starting quarterback and their best weapon in the passing game.

Let’s stay hot on the gridiron tonight!
