Jets vs. Browns Prediction, Pick, Odds: Will Joe Flacco Shine Against His Former Team on TNF?

The Cleveland Browns will look to make it four straight with Joe Flacco under center. They'll take on Flacco's former team, the New York Jets, in a Thursday night showdown at Cleveland Browns Stadium.

The Jets are already out of the playoff hunt despite their win last week against the Commanders. They're playing for pride while the Browns are fighting for a solid position in the AFC Playoff Picture.

The Browns have scored at least 31 points in two of their last three games with Flacco at quarterback. The Jets were never consistent with Flacco when he got the call.

Will New York know all of his tendencies, or will the Browns escape with their 11th win of the year?

Here are our picks, predictions, and odds for Thursday's game between the New York Jets vs. Cleveland Browns.

Jets vs. Browns Prediction

While the Jets are known as one of the best defenses in the NFL, the Browns have also been one of the best defenses in the league.

The Browns have allowed fewer yards per game than the Jets, giving up only 158.86 yards in the air and 102.21 yards on the ground.

Cleveland is dealing with some injuries on the defensive end. But they've stuck together and are playing complimentary ball behind Joe Flacco on offense.

Meanwhile, the offense has averaged 22.07 points per game. That's not entirely high. However, since Flacco arrived, the offensive output has been more significant.

Flacco has a big connection with Amari Cooper, who has 72 catches for 1,250 yards this season.

But the Jets' secondary is extremely talented and has only allowed 170.43 yards per game in the air. They also know many of Flacco's tendencies from his time in New York. That should help the Jets prepare for the veteran.

On the other hand, Zach Wilson is still in concussion protocol. It'll be Trevor Siemian for the Jets under center on Thursday.

Siemian has a QBR of 10.4 with three interceptions and one touchdown in three games played. The Jets might've scored 30 against the Commanders, but don't expect that against the Browns.

Adding some points on the board will be up to both running games. But with the running game, the clock will continue to tick. That'll help the Under.

Both defenses are tremendous. Let's take the Under 35.5.
