New York Jets vs. Cleveland Browns Prop Pick: Can Breece Hall Show out Again on Thursday Night Football?

The Cleveland Browns host the New York Jets on Thursday night football tonight from Cleveland, Ohio. The Browns look playoff bound, as they enter this game 10-5 on the season. If the season ended today, they are in. Meanwhile, the Jets are eliminated at 6-9 and are looking towards next season. What can we expect in this game?

New York Jets vs. Cleveland Browns Prediction

Expectations are low for second-year running back Breece Hall in this game. His rushing line is set at just 42.5 yards. This is not surprising, however, when you consider the Jets are facing one of the best defenses in the NFL, which includes DPOY favorite Myles Garrett. The Jets are not expected to move the ball much in this game, and they are also expected to lose, but I think Breece can still have a good game, just like last week.

Last week, Breece Hall had 191 yards from scrimmage. Yes, you read that right. He had 95 rushing yards and 96 receiving yards. Hall has had a tumultuous season of ups and downs, and he only has 732 rushing yards this season, but he will be needed tonight.

The Browns have the best secondary in football. They are first in yards per pass allowed, first in interception rate, and first in completion percentage allowed. Also, Siemian has had turnover issues in his limited action this season. He has three picks thrown in 88 attempts. However, the Browns are seemingly average in rushing defense. They are 12th in yards per rush allowed and 10th in rush yards per game allowed overall. With Breece coming off his best game of the season and of his NFL career so far, I expect him to lead this offense more than Trevor.

The Jets may be forced into a "passing" game script later into this game, but their defense is good enough to keep them in it for the first two or three quarters. Breece Hall having another good game is their best chance of keeping this game close or even winning outright. Hall is projected for 13.5 carries, so him hitting 14 would mean he just needs 3.07 yards per carry to hit 43 and go over. He has averaged 4.2 yards per carry, and that's the same amount the Browns are allowing on the season. This is a very low line for the starting running back, and he could come close to hitting this even at halftime.
