I don’t mind his main line at 42.5 at some books but prefer this. Thielen has hit this in 11 of his last 14 games, and his quarterback Bryce Young had by far his best week last week. What I like about this bet is also that Carolina does not own their first round pick.
Some teams when they only have two games to play and have no chance of playoffs will rest key guys or only play them limited quarters to help the tank and make draft position better. With Carolina’s pick going to Chicago, I think it’s less likely we see the Panthers rest key guys.
Carolina is 0-8 on the road, and for pride alone should fight to win this game. Jacksonville is a 6-point favorite, which means that passing should viable throughout all four quarters. The weather doesn't look like it will affect the ability to pass the ball, and Jacksonville is a good target. The Jags allow the 12th most receiving yards to wide receivers. Thielen getting 40 yards should come pretty easily, and has the upside to cash quick. Let's roll!
