Chiefs vs. Ravens Prediction, Pick, Odds: Can Lamar Jackson, Ravens Reach The Super Bowl?

The Kansas City Chiefs are no stranger to the AFC Championship Game.

They've made it into the game every year since Patrick Mahomes took over as the starting quarterback.

However, the Chiefs are in a different territory. They're usually the home team in this game. Instead, they'll be on the road against a loud and passionate Baltimore Ravens team.

The Ravens outplayed the Chiefs throughout the regular season. They finished with 13 wins and have the likely MVP at quarterback in Lamar Jackson.

Will that be enough to get past the Chiefs in January?

Here are our picks, predictions, and odds for Sunday's game between the Kansas City Chiefs vs. Baltimore Ravens.

Chiefs vs. Ravens Prediction

It's tough to bet against the Chiefs in January. All they do is find ways to win behind Patrick Mahomes, who is already on the path to becoming one of the best quarterbacks in NFL history.

The Ravens were way more consistent than the Chiefs in the regular season. Baltimore has scored nearly 100 more points than the Chiefs and has allowed more than 30 points fewer this season.

The Ravens have earned massive wins and significant deficits against some of the top teams in the NFL, including the Texans last weekend, 34-10.

Before the playoffs, the Ravens earned back-to-back double-digit wins over the Dolphins and 49ers before sitting their players against Pittsburgh in Week 18.

The Ravens have depth at running back and could even have Mark Andrews back in the passing game. Jackson has a high probability of winning the MVP and just added four more total touchdowns against the Texans to lead Baltimore in this game.

They gave at least eight carries to Jackson and three running backs. That kept everyone fresh and allowed the Ravens to rush for 5.5 yards a carry on 42 attempts. The addition of Dalvin Cook didn't really do much. However, Jackson averaged 9.1 yards rushing on 11 attempts, and Justice Hill and Gus Edwards each ran for at least four yards a carry in the convincing win.

On the other hand, the Chiefs have earned back-to-back close wins against complex offenses. Kansas City shut down the Dolphins in the Wild Card matchup and added a 27-24 win against the Bills as underdogs.

Mahomes and the Chiefs haven't been effective offensively. However, they've scored at least 26 points in both playoff games. The defense has stepped up all season, but now the offense is finally clicking again.

Both defenses are sensational. However, there are ways to attack both teams in the run game. If the run games succeed, Jackson and Mahomes will have no problems putting up points. They're the two best quarterbacks in the NFL.

Therefore, we'll ride the Over 44.5 in this one.
