The San Francisco 49ers will need all hands on deck to get revenge against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday night, and they are luckily backed with reinforcements since their last battle.
Brock Purdy is one of many newcomers to this squad, and hopefully the answer to their quarterback problems. The Niners have been defensively stacked for years now, but were unable to get over the hump in the Big Game. Can Purdy be the guy to take them to the promised land? The former "Mr. Irrelevent" last draft pick has a chance to prove all of the doubters wrong on Sunday night. Let's take a look at his prop lines and offerings for Super Bowl LVIII.

Brock Purdy Over 12.5 Rushing Yards (-110) (Bet $110 to Collect $210)
Brock Purdy didn't run much during the regular season, but he has found his legs in the playoffs for the first time. He has only been the starter for the 49ers for less than a year and a half, but his confidence continues to grow with every game.
Purdy has been largely responsible for the comebacks in their first two playoff games, despite some subpar play that put them in a hole in the first place. Part of the way he got it done was using his legs. Purdy ran 11 times for 62 yards in his two playoff games this year. He picked up more than half of the rushing yards he had all year in just those games. The total remains fairly low at 12.5 yards here, and note that it is a fairly popular public pick because of recent results. But he knows that he can escape the pocket and pick up first downs when he has to after the success in the playoffs.
An added wrinkle to keep in mind for this one is that it's never over until the final whistle. Purdy could fly over the total rushing and get to 20 yards, but if the Niners are up and winning, he will potentially lose yards on his kneel downs. That scenario happened to Patrick Mahomes several years ago, when his rushing total was 29.5 yards. He ran for well over 43 yards during the game, but took extended drop-backs on his kneels to waste time, and ended up losing 14 yards before it was all said and done, turning the tide back to the under. Let's hope Purdy has a big enough cushion to avoid that.
Pick: Brock Purdy to Win Super Bowl MVP (+210) (Bet $100 to Collect $310)
This is as much of a bet on the 49ers as it is on Purdy. If the San Francisco 49ers become Super Bowl LVIII Champions, there's a very high chance Purdy is the recipient of the award.
The MVP has been the winning quarterback in five of the last seven Super Bowls, as well as 12 of the last 17. While the Niners have an overwhelming amount of skill players, they all tend to share the spotlight instead of one overshadowing the group. Kyle Shanahan will spread the ball around in this game, and one player won't be able to put up the ridiculous stat line it would take to win the award over a QB.
That's why we are going to take Purdy to become the MVP of Super Bowl LVIII, he'll do just enough game managing to get the Niners the win without anyone outshining him. Not to mention, one Las Vegas bettor has $200K on Purdy to take home the MVP. It's always great to ride with the big money.
