Rice has emerged as a true WR1 for the Chiefs this year, amid major turmoil and changes to the locker room. He may only be a rookie, but he has stepped up in a big way, and made a dynamic connection with Mahomes. Will he be able to continue to perform on the biggest stage, set with one of the highest reception totals for a rookie? Rice makes big plays, but also gets short possession grabs for Mahomes when needed. In the Chiefs' win over the Ravens in the AFC Championship, he caught eight balls on nine targets, but only ended up with 46 yards.
That's why we are going to roll with his receptions instead of yards, because Rice has great hands and will find a way to get open for Mahomes, even if it isn't very far down field. He'll catch several crossing routes, and notch critical first downs for the Chiefs offense. San Francisco also allows some of the most completions in the NFL per game, ranking 28th with 24 passes completed on them per game.

Rice matches Kelce with a 6.5 total in this one, and with all of the attention that will be paid to the star tight end as he has dominated in the playoffs, Rice will have his moment to shine against a shaky San Fran passing defense.
