The other primary touchdown scorer for Kansas City in 2023 has been second-year running back Isiah Pacheco. The hard-nosed, physical runner has been returning massive value for the Chiefs as a seventh-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft. Pacheco has scored at least one touchdown in seven straight games, including scoring the last touchdown of the game in all three playoff games this year. -120 odds indicates that oddsmakers are more bullish on Pacheco to score than Kelce, so let's eat this juice and invest two units on the Chiefs' RB1 to find the end zone against a sub-par San Francisco run defense.
DEEBO SAMUEL ANYTIME TD SCORER (+150) (Bet $100 to Collect $250)
The extra week of rest will help 49ers wideout Deebo Samuel more than any other skilled player in the Super Bowl. Recovering from a shoulder injury, which removed Samuel from the NFC Divisional Round game against the Packers, he bounced back with eight receptions for 89 yards against the Lions in the NFC Championship game.
Now, Samuel gets one of the worst run defenses in the league, as the Chiefs are missing some key players along the defensive line. Whether he scores as a ball carrier or receiver, we don't care! Kansas City's primary deep threat, Marquez Valdes-Scantling, has suffered numerous drops in big moments during his tenure with the Chiefs. This hasn't kept Mahomes from looking his way though, as Valdes-Scantling has recorded at least two receptions for 38 yards during Kansas City's last two playoff games.
He's only scored once this season, which is why we're getting +650 odds for Valdes-Scantling's anytime touchdown scorer prop. The 49ers pass defense has been susceptible to surrendering big plays all season, including the playoffs, so when Mahomes inevitably drops back to pass deep downfield, MVS will undoubtedly be his target. JAUAN JENNINGS ANYTIME TD SCORER (+800) (Bet $100 to Collect $900)
Kansas City's defense, particularly its secondary, has been the reason for the Chiefs success in 2023. With Brandon Aiyuk, Deebo Samuel, George Kittle, and Christian McCaffrey garnering the majority of coverage, Brock Purdy will have chances to get the football to other ancillary pieces, like Jauan Jennings.
