Thursday Night Football Anytime Touchdown Scorers: Can Keon Coleman, Dawson Knox Shine in Bills vs. Dolphins?

NFL Week 1 was very kind to us for touchdown scorers, and we ended the weekend with a 10-7 record thanks to a strong finish in the last two prime time games. Sunday Night Football was a 3-0 sweep, and MNF followed closely behind with a 2-1 performance.

It's time to keep rolling in Week 2, and we start it off with a high-flying matchup with the Bills battling the rival Dolphins down in Miami. There are some injuries to navigate in this contest, which will affect the selections and the odds, but there are still some great ways to capitalize on the offensive impact. Let's take a look at the best touchdown scorer picks for Bills vs. Dolphins on Thursday Night Football.

It's important to note that the amount of touchdown scorers will vary greatly depending on the defenses and point total of each matchup. We have a higher total tonight at 48.5, and we’re expecting a decent amount of touchdown scorers with these familiar foes. I’m leaning toward the over with fast paced and historical results between these squads. As a result, we are taking some higher-odds scorers who's chances increase with more red zone trips.

Buffalo Bills vs. Miami Dolphins Prop Picks

1. Jeff Wilson Jr. +105 Click here to see which sportsbook has the best odds

This is one of the strangest picks on the board, but we are going to roll with it anyway. The Miami Dolphins have injury troubles at running back, with their usual two-headed monster of Raheem Mostert and De'Von Achane getting banged up in Week 1 against the Jags. Mostert has been ruled out, while Achane is a game-time decision. Whether or not he suits up, it looks like Jeff Wilson Jr. is going to be leaned on with the bulk of the carries. He got five in Week 1 after the Mostert injury, and has performed well in a backup role for the Dolphins over the years. He also scored a TD against the Bills in the playoffs in 2022 in a very similar spot. This is a dicey decision as so much remains up in the air with the injuries, but it's worth taking a stab on Wilson if he ends up being the main back.

2. Keon Coleman +240 Click here to see which sportsbook has the best odds

Keon Coleman will hope to haul in his first career touchdown tonight against the Dolphins in his second NFL game. While we usually wouldn't go in a rookie to find the end zone so early, Coleman demonstrated a strong presence in the Bills offense right off the bat, and clearly has a connection with Josh Allen. As the Bills look to replace the production from former WR1 Stefon Diggs, Coleman is already looking like a good candidate after he was the leading receiver in Week 1. He had over 50 yards and the most targets on the team at five. We expect this continue as the Bills air it out against the Dolphins in a high total game of 49 points, so Coleman has a solid chance to capitalize on his target share.

3. Dawson Knox +550 Click here to see which sportsbook has the best odds

We're going to take a bit of a long shot on Dawson Knox on this spot on the road as he looks to exploit the Dolphins' defense. Last game, the Cardinals put the clamps on the TE1 with Dalton Kincaid getting held to just one catch. That may happen again as they try to corral one of Allen's favorite targets, leaving more room for Knox in the red zone on two tight end sets. Knox has performed well against the Dolphins in his career, racking up over 300 yards and scoring four times, including in this building last January. Allen is going to spread the ball around once again this week, and Knox may just be in the right place at the right time. At these +550 and with veteran experience in the red zone, Knox is worth a sprinkle here just like Isaiah Likely last Thursday at identical odds.
