The Indianapolis Colts will try to pull the upset against the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday Night Football. Can Joe Flacco carry the Colts to an underdog surprise on SNF? Matt McCuen is taking the points in this Colts vs. Vikings prediction and pick against the spread.

Colts vs. Vikings Prediction, Betting Picks, Latest Odds for Sunday Night Football

The Indianapolis Colts and the Minnesota Vikings will meet on Sunday Night Football for a prime-time affair.

The Colts come into this contest with a record of 4-4 on the season, and Indianapolis has won two of their last three games.

The Colts made headlines this week when they announced they would be benching second-year signal caller Anthony Richardson and turn to veteran Joe Flacco. Flacco, a former Super Bowl champion, led the Browns to the playoffs last season and will look for similar success with this Colts team.

Indy has enough talent to compete for a playoff spot if the quarterback's play is strong. An AFC team with nine or 10 wins has a good chance of making the playoffs. The Colts are hopeful that they will be that team.

Indianapolis Colts vs. Minnesota Vikings Prediction

Joe Flacco has thrown for 716 yards, seven touchdowns, and one interception.

Johnathan Taylor leads the ground game with 454 yards and five touchdowns.

24-year-old Alec Pierce has been the top option in the passing game, racking up 394 yards and one touchdown.

The Colts defense allows 21.5 points per game, good for 13th in the NFL.

Minnesota starts the contest with a 5-2 record. After two months, the Vikings appear to be one of the best teams in the NFC. Most people did not believe the Vikings could compete for a playoff spot entering the season.

The biggest question entering the offseason was the quarterback position. Minnesota signed veteran Sam Darnold in the offseason. The Vikings also drafted former Michigan signal caller J.J. McCarthy. McCarthy was injured in the preseason, giving Darnold the starting job. Darnold has not looked back on his opportunity to lead the team with 1,610 yards, 14 touchdowns, and five interceptions.

Aaron Jones leads the ground game with 501 rushing yards and two touchdowns.

Justin Jefferson leads the team with 646 receiving yards and five touchdowns.
