The Houston Texans will try to pull the upset against the Detroit Lions on Sunday Night Football. Can C.J. Stroud connect with Nico Collins and help boost the Texans to a shocker against red-hot Detroit? Peter Alexis is targeting both stars and more in his Lions vs. Texans SGP on SNF.

FanDuel Same-Game Parlay Pick: Back This +500 Texans vs. Lions SGP on Sunday Night Football

The Detroit Lions may have their hands full on Sunday Night Football as they visit a staunch Houston Texans defense. They have rose to every other challenge so far this year, but will C.J. Stroud and Houston finally stop them?

Detroit has won six games in a row, and it hasn't mattered if they were home or away. Many were blowouts, dismantling the Packers, Titans, and Cowboys in recent weeks. Will Houston finally put a stop to Ben Johnson's expansive offense? C.J. Stroud has his best weapon back in Nico Collins, and he's hoping that can be the difference on SNF.

FanDuel Same Game Parlay - Lions vs. Texans

Leg 1: Houston Texans +8.5

We're going to start this off with the Texans to cover the alt spread. They are currently listed at +3.5 on the original line, and are getting just 18% of bets at home along with 32% of the money. The Lions have been a public darling all year, and we've all cashed on them many times, but you don't want to continue riding a team on six-game winning streak that's heading on the road for a prime-time showdown. The Texans are also getting their star receiver back tonight in Nico Collins, which will bolster this wounded offense. The expectation is that he and Tank Dell will both play, crucial weapons for C.J. Stroud. They may not win this game, but they should be able to keep it one-score at home.

Leg 2: C.J. Stroud Over 225+ Passing Yards

The Detroit Lions have allowed one of the highest passing totals per game so far in the NFL, giving up 250 yards per game. This stat requires clarifying however, as it is partially because they have been in the lead often and teams are spending the entire second half only passing. But regardless, Stroud is a talented QB that is getting his best piece back, and should find some opportunities to air it out tonight at home. He flew over this 225+ number in his first five games, before injuries destroyed his lineup. He has now missed in three of the last four, but whether the Texans are trailing or not tonight, Stroud will deliver the ball to Collins and others as the offense gets back on track.

Leg 3: Jahmyr Gibbs 70+ Rushing + Receiving Yards

The Texans defense is much better against the pass, ranking third in the NFL, so we are going to avoid going to typical WR targets like Amon-Ra St. Brown and Sam LaPorta tonight. Someone is going to get shut down by their defensive talent, so there is no point in risking on who it could be. Instead, we will turn to a tried and true method of riding with Jahmyr Gibbs, who has been a staple of this Lions offense no matter who they play against. His true line is 81.5 rush + receiving yards, so we are taking a slight alt down to 70+ here. The Texans are more forgiving against the run, ranking in the middle of the pack, and Gibbs has gone for 60+ on the ground in nearly every game recently, But regardless, we add in the receiving yards for extra security as he often breaks off a solid gain on a swing pass each week.

Leg 4: Nico Collins Anytime TD Scorer

The Texans will be in dire need of production from the returning lead receiver tonight. FanDuel and other books are not offering his over/under on receiving yards right now due to his status as game-time decision, but the over on yards works in this situation as well if you want to replace anytime TD Scorer of +130 odds. Collins has been out for a month, and is still the Texans' leading receiver after all that time, which shows how dominant he was before the injury. He is well-rested and doesn't have much of a re-aggravation risk, so he should be getting a full run and not limited action. Collins will come up with a big play on SNF if the Texans are going to have a shot in this one, just like he scored against the Bears in primetime earlier this season.
