The Los Angeles Chargers will face off with the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday Night Football, a rematch of their previous AFC West clash in September. Both teams are much improved since then, and have been winning left and right. Tonight will be a test of which squad has gotten the strongest and most-strategic.
With Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs pulling out ridiculous wins in three of the last four games, it's time for them to try and win without making it a dramatic finish. Meanwhile, the Chargers will look to prove the narrative wrong that they can't beat the stronger teams in the league, after falling short against the few contenders they've faced.

Leg 1: Kansas City Chiefs ML
This leg is surprisingly not public, although bettors have been fawning over the Chiefs all season. Most of the bets are actually backing a Charges underdog cover on the road, and we love to avoid public road dogs. The Chiefs have been atrocious at covering the spread, but they have been incredible at closing out games, one way or another. Some call it luck, others call it championship experience, but either way, the Chiefs know how to get it done. Nine of their 11 wins have come by one-score, and we aren't going to risk a 4-point spread in prime time. But with Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs at home, they should find a way to out-class the Chargers once again. LA has had a great season under Harbaugh, but they have struggled against high-powered opponents, falling to the Ravens, Steelers, and already the Chiefs once before. Andy Reid knows how to limit and continually beat this team, and the Chiefs will eek out another victory at Arrowhead tonight.
Leg 2: Justin Herbert 225+ Passing Yards
Justin Herbert has been passing a lot less for the Chargers this year, because Jim Harbaugh has put him in situations to be successful without forcing the ball downfield. They have a much better rushing attack, and Herbert is not forced to drop back into a pressure-filled pocket on every down like in years past. As a result, he's been much more accurate and has only thrown one interception all year. However, Herbert is going to need to throw the ball tonight if he's going to have a shot at defeating the Chiefs, especially if they are trailing for a large portion of this game. He has gone under this 225 alt-line number in his last two games, and it will bounce back here on the road with a gunslinger mentality in prime time. He went well over in five of his previous six games before the recent two misses, and will get back to that against a Chiefs secondary that ranks 23rd in pass yards allowed per game and were just diced up by Aidan O'Connell and the Raiders.
Leg 3: Isiah Pacheco Over 1.5 Receptions
Isiah Pacheco is slowly returning to the lineup after a long absence with a leg injury. His first game back was on Black Friday against the Raiders, where he touched the ball eight times for around 50 yards. Pacheco will continue to increase his workload, and a lot of that will be an emphasis in the receiving game. We are getting a very low line here as the books are cautious to adjust for how he ramps up, but Pacheco is the main passing down back in this offense. Kareem Hunt certainly isn't the guy, and while he will steal some carries, Pacheco will still be sent out on the designed swing passes. At full throttle, he hauls in 3+ receptions on the regular, so two isn't that much to ask for, and will come easy as the Chiefs try to chip away at this strong Chargers defense with quick throws.
Leg 4: Joshua Palmer Over 35.5 Receiving Yards
The Herbert passing yards have to go somewhere, so we're going to look to veteran Joshua Palmer to haul in a bulk of these yards tonight as the Chargers look to play spoiler against the Chiefs. The Chargers have failed to find trustworthy targets on this offense for most of the year outside Ladd McConkey, with Quentin Johnston continuing to suffer serious drop issues. It has plagued them in several prime time games, but Herbert can turn to the usually sure-handed Palmer tonight who he has connected with consistently over the last few years. These two have a good synergy, and after Palmer went under the number in two of his last three games, he will be a reliable bounce back target tonight on some mid-range throws down the field.
