Denver Broncos vs. Los Angeles Chargers Prediction
Rookie signal-caller Bo Nix has been the main reason for the team’s success. Nix has thrown for 2,972 yards, 20 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions. Former North Carolina running back Javonte Williams has scampered for 461 yards and four touchdowns. Courtland Sutton leads the Broncos with 878 receiving yards and six touchdowns. Denver has allowed 17.6 points per game, tied with the Chargers for first in points allowed per game.
Los Angeles begins the contest with a record of 8-6. Year one has been a success so far in the Jim Harbaugh era. Harbaugh won the National Championship at Michigan a year ago and has won everywhere he has coached. The Chargers have adopted the Harbaugh mentality this season.
LA won just five games a year ago. The Chargers currently hold the final wildcard position in the AFC, with a two-game lead over the Indianapolis Colts. A win tonight would go a long way for the Chargers to cement their spot after dropping their last two games.
Former Oregon standout Justin Herbert leads the team with 2,959 passing yards, 16 touchdowns, and two interceptions. Gus Edwards will lead the Chargers ground game. Edwards has rushed for 297 yards and two touchdowns. Rookie Ladd McConkey has racked up a team-best 873 yards and five touchdowns. The Chargers defense ranks tied first in points allowed per game (17.6).
