Caleb Williams Bears

Lions vs. Bears Prediction, Pick Against the Spread, Latest Odds

The Detroit Lions will head to Chicago for a rematch of their Thanksgiving thriller. Can Caleb Williams and the Bears get revenge for their late loss at Ford Field? Matt McCuen is targeting the home underdog in his Lions vs. Bears prediction and pick against the spread for NFL Week 16.

Lions vs. Bears Prediction, Pick Against the Spread, Latest Odds

The Chicago Bears will host the Detroit Lions on Sunday Afternoon. Solider Field will be the site for this NFC North showdown.

Chicago enters this game with a record of 4-10. After a promising start to the season, the Bears have lost seven consecutive games. The cold run called for the firing of former head coach Matt Eberflus.

The season has been a disaster for this Bears team. Entering the year, this team was buzzing after drafting rookie quarterback Caleb Williams first overall. Unfortunately for the Bears faithful, everything that could've gone wrong this season, went wrong. Chicago will be playing for draft position for the rest of the season.

The Bears' last win came on October 13th, when they defeated the Jacksonville Jaguars, 35-16, in London. The last time these two teams met, Detroit defeated Chicago 23-20 on Thanksgiving Day. Chicago is coming off a 30-12 loss against the Minnesota Vikings on Monday Night Football.

Lions vs. Bears Prediction

Rookie Caleb Williams has thrown for 2,937 yards, 17 touchdowns, and five interceptions. D’Andre Swift leads the ground game with 821 yards and five touchdowns. Veteran DJ Moore has racked up 758 yards and five touchdowns.

Detroit rolls into this game with a 12-2 record. That record has placed the Lions in a first-place tie with the Minnesota Vikings. Additionally, that record has Detroit tied with the Eagles and Vikings for first place in the NFC.

Detroit will attempt to rebound from a six-point loss against the Buffalo Bills. The loss was the first for the Lions since September 15th. Detroit has not dropped back-to-back games all season.

Head coach Dan Campbell will be in the conversation to win the NFL Coach of the Year award. Campbell has done as good of a job as anyone in the NFL this season. The Lions snapped their three-decade division championship drought last season, and are in a strong position with a win today to make it back-to-back.

Former first-overall pick Jared Goff leads the offense with 3,759 yards, 30 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions. Jahmyr Gibbs leads the ground game with 1,047 yards and 11 touchdowns.

David Montgomery, who has rushed for 775 yards and 12 touchdowns of his own, may miss the rest of the season with a knee injury. Amon-Ra St. Brown has racked up 1,056 receiving yards, ranking fourth in the NFL.

Lions vs. Bears Pick

We will take the sharp side in this contest today.

The Bears showed earlier in the season that they can play with the Lions.

Williams and the Bears succeeded against the Lions' defense in the second half of their earlier season meeting and will continue to do so today.

I anticipate a close back-and-forth contest that will favor the underdog.
