Leg 1: Detroit Lions Alt Spread +8.5
Let's start with the simple one. If these props are going to be cashing on both sides, it's going to have to be a back and forth, tight game. With a high total of 53.5 and the main spread at +4.5, we are going to buy a few extra points here on the Lions to keep it to one possession. If they lose late by a touchdown, no harm-no foul. Leg 2: Jared Goff Over 23.5 Completions
Jared Goff has hit this number in one of two games this year, but only because he didn't need to in the second one. The Lions were blowing out the Bears, putting up 52 points, and Goff still completed 23 passes despite the need to stop throwing. Five of those were touchdowns. In a game against the Ravens, it's a different beast, especially as a road underdog.
When the Lions were road underdogs and trailing throughout Week 1 against the Packers, Goff was 31 of 39. They will want to ensure a strong start tonight, and looking for easy completions in the early going across the middle to Amon-Ra St. Brown and Sam LaPorta, as well as Jahmyr Gibbs in the swing pass game. Either way this game script goes, Goff will be throwing.
Leg 3: David Montgomery Over 36.5 Rushing Yards
David Montgomery is a work horse for the Lions, and will look to exploit the Ravens the same way James Cook did in Week 1. With so many weapons on the Lions receiving corps, the Ravens can't afford to stack the box, leaving openings for Montgomery to pick up chunk yardage up the middle.
Montgomery gets a solid share of carries regardless of the situation, with 11 against both the Packers and Bears, despite vastly different games. He was shut down against the Packers a bit, only getting 25 yards compared to 57 last week. The Ravens might have a strong pedigree, but they don't exhibit the same stout defense as Green Bay, and there will be enough opportunities for Montgomery to get his over, maybe even in the first half as Dan Campbell tries to set the tone.
Leg 4: Jahmyr Gibbs Over 24.5 Receiving Yards
Jahmyr Gibbs is a special talent, and the Lions will need every bit of it tonight. With Montgomery going up the middle in Leg 3, Gibbs will be used in space, with routes out of the backfield. In the loss to Green Bay in Week 1, they trailed throughout and had to pass often. This led to a whopping 10 targets for Gibbs, all of which he caught. We aren't expecting quite that level, but he still had three receptions last week against the Bears. After not going over last week, he gets back in the green with a decent amount of receiving yards against the Ravens tonight.
