Seahawks vs. Cardinals Same Game Parlay: Targeting Trey Benson, Sam Darnold on Thursday Night Football?

Thursday Night Football brings us an NFC West clash between the Seattle Seahawks and Arizona Cardinals, and the spotlight will be on a pair of playmakers who could swing the game. With James Conner out for the season after foot surgery, rookie running back Trey Benson is being thrust into the spotlight. If the Cardinals are going to stay competitive, they’ll need Benson to establish himself quickly as a reliable option in the backfield and keep this offense from going stagnant.

On the other side, Sam Darnold faces a matchup that could dictate how bettors build their same game parlays. Arizona owns the NFL’s 30th-ranked pass defense but sits inside the top five against the run, meaning Seattle will likely need Darnold to win through the air. With weapons like Jaxon Smith Njigba and Cooper Kupp stretching the field, Darnold has the perfect opportunity to exploit the Cardinals’ weaknesses.

For SGP bettors, that makes Benson’s workload and Darnold’s passing production two of the most pivotal props on the board. Whether you’re targeting rushing yards, receiving totals, or touchdown markets, these two players could decide the outcome — both on the field and in your parlay slip.

Seahawks vs. Cardinals Odds

Seahawks vs. Cardinals Same Game Parlay

Leg 1: Arizona Cardinals Alt Spread +3.5

We're kicking it off with Cardinals alt spread +3.5, buying a few extra points for insurance if this turns into a field goal battle in the NFC West.

Our oddschecker+ AI projections are forecasting a spread of Arizona -3, much different than the +1.5 currently offered as the main line. The Cardinals have been a solid team so far this year, and the Seahawks are getting a bit overvalued after two big wins. Sam Darnold and co. will face some trouble on the road tonight against a tighter Cardinals defense, more similar to the 49ers who also gave Seattle fits in Week 1.

Leg 2: Trey Benson Anytime Touchdown Scorer

Next, we're going to take a look at the new starting running back for the Arizona Cardinals to find the end zone. Benson was a beast at Florida State, and now takes over in his first career start following the Connor injury. He'll be the guy for the rest of the season in Arizona, and they'll need him to start fast tonight to propel this Cardinals offense.

Benson may only have one career touchdown, but he's also only had double-digit carries 3 times so far. The increased workload of 15 or so carries on Thursday Night Football should give him the opportunity to get in the end zone, and the Cardinals really can't pull this slight divisional upset without excelling on the ground.

Leg 3: Sam Darnold 225+ Passing Yards

For Leg 3, we're targeting Seahawks QB Sam Darnold, who's off to a hot start with his new team. He's only gone over this number in one of his first three starts in Seattle, but mostly because he hasn't had to. Week 1 was rougher on offense as he got adjusted against a stout 49ers defense, but in Week 2, he lit up the Steelers for two touchdowns and nearly 300 yards. He was well on track for that same result last week, but the Seahawks were up so big on the Saints that he stopped throwing early and still landed at 218.

The 225+ line is right about at his total, which we see at Over 226.5 at some books, and Over 223.5 at others. If we can get the Seahawks trailing early in this one, Darnold will be slinging it all night against this 30th-ranked Arizona pass defense, who is heavily skewed to stop the run (4th-best).

Leg 4: Kenneth Walker Under 52.5 Rushing Yards

We'll wrap this up with a correlated game script play on Kenneth Walker Under 52.5 rushing yards. Walker has been extremely boom or bust so far this year, and the Seahawks ground game in general has been difficult to trust. He went for 100+ in that same Steelers game that featured no defense, but was stymied for 38 against the Saints and just 20 against the 49ers, on 26 carries between the two. That's just a 2.2 yards per carry average, a weak number for this budding star.

The Saints game was especially strange last week, with him getting that 38 yards on 16 total carries but still scoring twice. Walker could find the end zone if he's set up situationally, but a back averaging such a low ypc and heading on the road against the 4th-best run defense isn't a recipe for success. Conflate that with the fact that we expect the Seahawks to be trailing, and his carries should suffer even further.
