Philadelphia is a 1.5-point favorite at -110, with New England +1.5 at the same price. The Eagles are -125 on the moneyline, the Patriots are +105 and the total sits at 35.5.
Philadelphia went 11-6 and won the NFC East last season before losing 23-19 to San Francisco in the Wild Card round. New England completed one of the NFL's biggest turnarounds at 14-3, won the AFC and eventually fell 29-13 to Seattle in Super Bowl LX.
The Eagles were thoroughly outplayed in their preseason opener, losing 24-7 to Baltimore and producing only 181 total yards. Jalen Hurts did not play, and there is little reason to expect him Saturday after two full joint practices against New England. The game should again belong to Tanner McKee, Andy Dalton and Cole Payton.

That quarterback room remains appealing in an exhibition setting. McKee has extensive preseason experience, while Dalton gives Philadelphia a veteran with more than a decade of NFL starts. The opener was ugly, but the Ravens' second unit also looked like one of the best reserve groups in the league.
New England tied Indianapolis 13-13 last week with Drake Maye sitting. Maye again received his meaningful work during the joint practices and is expected to remain on the sideline Saturday. Tommy DeVito should start after completing 13 of 22 passes for 138 yards and a touchdown in the opener, with rookie Behren Morton behind him.
The Patriots have strong overall depth coming off a Super Bowl run, but Philadelphia owns the more proven reserve quarterback combination. That becomes particularly valuable in the second half when both teams are deep into players fighting simply to make the final roster.

Neither coaching staff has much reason to chase the result with starters. The small spread makes Philadelphia's edge at backup quarterback more important, and the Eagles should also carry some urgency after being embarrassed by Baltimore last week.
