Cardinals vs. Giants Prediction, Betting Pick, Latest NFL Week 4 Odds

The Arizona Cardinals travel to MetLife Stadium to face a New York Giants team navigating major changes at quarterback and on defense. Can Jacoby Brissett and Jeremiyah Love capitalize while Jameis Winston attempts to stabilize the Giants offense? Check out this Cardinals vs. Giants prediction and best bet for Sunday, October 4.

Cardinals vs. Giants Prediction: Can Cardinals Take Advantage of Jameis Winston, Shuffling Giants in Week 4?

Arizona visits New York as a 2.5-point road favorite in one of the week's most dramatically repriced matchups. The Cardinals are 1-2 after consecutive divisional losses, while the Giants improved to 2-1 despite scoring only 12 points against Tennessee.

New York has undergone significant personnel changes in a matter of days. Jaxson Dart is out for the remainder of the regular season, Brian Burns has been lost to a torn ACL and the Giants have acquired J.J. McCarthy from Minnesota.

Cardinals vs. Giants Recent Results

Arizona Cardinals (1-2)

Arizona lost 36-30 at San Francisco but produced its best offensive stretch of the season during the comeback attempt. Rookie running back Jeremiyah Love handled 21 carries for 90 yards and finished with 109 yards from scrimmage as the Cardinals began leaning on him as their primary runner.

Jacoby Brissett and the offense showed more life after halftime, but penalties and other self-inflicted mistakes prevented Arizona from completing the comeback. The Cardinals have now dropped consecutive NFC West games after winning their opener.

New York Giants (2-1)

New York defeated Tennessee 12-7 in difficult weather, with all 12 points coming from four field goals. Jameis Winston completed 14 of 22 passes for 118 yards and, most importantly, avoided a turnover in his first full start following Dart's knee injury.

The Giants managed only 238 total yards and still have significant offensive questions despite the 2-1 record. Their defense and field-position management were enough against Tennessee, but Arizona presents a more functional offensive test.

Cardinals vs. Giants Line Movement and Betting Splits

This has been one of the most aggressive adjustments of Week 4. Early numbers made New York the favorite, with some lookahead markets as high as Giants -7, but the current market has completely flipped to Arizona -2.5.

Dart's season-ending injury and the subsequent loss of Burns have fundamentally changed the Giants' profile. The total has also moved down from earlier numbers around 45.5 to 44.

Cardinals vs. Giants Team News and Injuries

Arizona Cardinals

Safety Dadrion Taylor-Demerson is out because of a back injury. Edge defender Josh Sweat is questionable with a groin issue, making his availability particularly important against a Giants offense that would prefer to keep Winston comfortable and avoid long-yardage situations.

Arizona otherwise enters relatively intact. That continuity matters for an offense beginning to settle into a larger workload for Love.

New York Giants

Dart will miss the remainder of the regular season after knee surgery, leaving Winston as the current starter. New York also acquired J.J. McCarthy from Minnesota in exchange for a 2027 fifth-round pick, adding another quarterback to the room while McCarthy learns the system.

The Giants also lost Burns to a torn ACL. Burns was one of the leaders and most disruptive players on the defense, leaving Kayvon Thibodeaux and the remaining front with a major pass-rush void to fill. The good news is that the Giants had no players listed on the final Week 4 injury report beyond their longer-term losses.

Cardinals vs. Giants Prediction

New York's 2-1 record looks stronger than its current offensive condition. The Giants needed four field goals to defeat an 0-3 Tennessee team and finished with 238 yards, an approach that becomes difficult to repeat if Arizona establishes even a modest early lead.

Brissett provides Arizona with a steadier baseline at quarterback. He does not need to dominate vertically if Love can continue building on his 109-yard performance against San Francisco and Trey McBride consistently wins the intermediate areas.

Burns' absence is particularly relevant to that plan. Without its best veteran edge defender, New York has fewer ways to create pressure without extra rushers. That should allow Arizona to keep Brissett comfortable enough to operate the quick passing game and attack favorable matchups when the Giants bring pressure.

Winston still gives New York a higher passing ceiling than it showed in the storm against Tennessee, and Malik Nabers' return provides a legitimate matchup-changing receiver. That is the primary reason Arizona should not be treated like a comfortable touchdown favorite despite the enormous market move.

The FairPlay AI projection is much closer to the current number than the original market. Arizona is projected -3.5 with a 61% win probability, compared with an actual spread of -2.5. That creates approximately one point of model value while keeping the Cardinals below the key number of three.

Laying -2.5 is also materially different from laying the numbers the market could reach if Arizona receives more support. A three-point Cardinals win cashes this ticket, and Arizona has the more stable current quarterback situation despite New York's frantic effort to rebuild its room around Winston and McCarthy.

Cardinals vs. Giants Best Bet

The market adjustment has been enormous, but the current number still leaves Arizona below three. Between New York's quarterback transition, the loss of Burns and the Cardinals' improving rushing attack, Arizona has the cleaner path to controlling the game.
