Orlando Guardians vs. Houston Roughnecks Prediction

The Houston Roughnecks and the Orlando Guardians will duel things out tonight from the sunshine State. These two teams could not have had more opposite starts to their season. The Roughnecks are off to a perfect start this season at 3-0, while Orlando enters this game 0-3 on the season.

Entering the year, the Roughnecks were seen as one of the best teams in the league, led by former NFL head coach Wade Phillips. Houston has been outstanding on both sides of the football this year, and they are hopeful to continue their stellar play on the road tonight.

Orlando, meanwhile, will try and get their first win of the year, and they know that will be no easy task. Paxton Lynch began the year as the team's starter but has been in and out of the lineup as of late for the Guardians. This is a team that should play this game with a chip on their shoulder today as they look for that much-needed first win. 

I will be backing the team that nobody wants to back tonight and take the Guardians with the points. I understand that they have not looked impressive early in the year and that Houston has looked like the best team in the league, but in a league like the XFL, nine is a ton of points.

This is due to the rules that the XFL has with two-point conversions. Even if Houston controls the game, this is a number that Orlando should be able to stay within and cover for us tonight. Let’s stay hot in the XFL!
