Last week at the U.S. Open from Pinehurst, there were fireworks on the final hole as Bryson DeChambeau emerged victorious. He went toe to toe with Rory McIlroy all day, before several short-putt blunders by the world No. 2 cost him the tournament down the stretch.
McIlroy is now taking several weeks away from golf after the crushing defeat, and has withdrawn from the Travelers Championship this year. This leaves Scottie Scheffler and Xander Schauffele to lead the field, followed by several other contenders.
This week, our golf experts Geoff and Andy are back, and are looking to bounce back from their near miss on Rory McIlroy with a winner at TPC River Highlands in Connecticut. Ludvig Aberg is a talented young name near the top of the odds board, and the guys are taking a stab at him to have a big weekend.

Travelers Championship Predictions
After a thrilling end to the U.S. Open, there is an exciting lineup this week at the Travelers Championship. Both Geoff and Andy have aligned on one rising star as their top pick at TPC River Highlands.
The guys are avoiding the favorite of Scottie Scheffler this time around, after a disappointing putting performance at the U.S. Open may be a sign of the end of his spring hot streak. Instead, they are focusing their units elsewhere, and taking a shot on Ludvig Aberg at +1600 to outperform the field.
He just turned in a solid Top-12 performance at the U.S. Open, after finishing second at the Masters earlier this year. Despite being only 24 years of age, he hasn't shied away from the spotlight and has performed very well in majors. With several top-10, top-five, and second place finishes this year, it may finally be time for Aberg to pick up a victory this week.
Elsewhere, Andy is rolling with Patrick Cantlay at +2500, which he feels has great value for a guy that competed down the stretch at the U.S. Open. He was right in the mix until the end, and had a chance to pull it off before finishing third due to a few errant putts. Lack also likes longshot Brian Harman at +4500 to make some noise in this field and contend through the weekend.
Meanwhile, Geoff has his eyes on Sam Burns at +3300, as well as Tom Kim at longer +6000 odds. He certainly feels like these guys have the chops to get it done eventually, and after a major is as good of a time as any to try and pull an upset.
