The 2026 Masters will have a stacked field of PGA and LIV golfers once again, and Scottie Scheffler continues to open as the favorite. 2026 Masters Odds: Scheffler Leads Crowded Field at Top

The Masters begins Thursday, and Scottie Scheffler is once again the favorite, opening at +600 on the board you shared. That is familiar territory, but this year feels a little different. Scheffler has not been quite as dominant coming into Augusta, LIV players like Jon Rahm and Bryson DeChambeau bring more top-end competition than a typical PGA-only board, and defending champion Rory McIlroy is still lurking not far behind. The top of this market is crowded for a reason.

Scheffler still deserves favorite status, but he is no longer carrying the same invincible feel. He won The American Express in January, added top-five finishes at Pebble Beach and Phoenix, then cooled a bit with finishes outside the top 10 at Genesis and a T22 at The Players. He also withdrew from Houston for the birth of his second child and arrives at Augusta just days after becoming a father again, which adds another variable to a week that already looked far more competitive than usual.

2026 Masters Odds Breakdown

Scottie Scheffler (+600) Check out the best odds at DraftKings Sportsbook

Scheffler’s upside is obvious. He is still the world No. 1, a two-time Masters champion, and his Augusta profile remains nearly perfect for this event. Even in a year where he has looked a touch more human, he still opened the season with a win and remained a factor in the biggest fields, which is why the market has not moved him off the top line.

The concern is relative, not absolute. For most players, a win and multiple top-fives would be elite form entering a major. For Scheffler, the recent dip matters because it ended his streak of 18 consecutive top-10 finishes and came right as Rahm and DeChambeau started catching fire on LIV. The new-child angle is impossible to price perfectly too, because it could either drain energy or sharpen perspective and produce one of those locked-in weeks he is famous for.

Jon Rahm (+1000) Check out the best odds at FanDuel Sportsbook

Rahm feels like one of the strongest alternatives to Scheffler because his current form is very real. He is the 2023 Masters champion, has been consistently sharp on LIV this year, and arrived at Augusta after a runner-up finish in South Africa, where he lost only in a playoff to DeChambeau. He was also the season-long LIV points leader going into that event, which tells you this has not been a one-week spike.

The case for Rahm is that he may be the most complete LIV threat in the field. He has enough length, enough patience, and enough short-game imagination for Augusta, and unlike some players who rely on one hot club, his game travels in all conditions. If Scheffler is even a little vulnerable and the recent LIV winners prove their form is transferable immediately, Rahm has as clean a path as anyone to another Green Jacket.

Bryson DeChambeau (+1200) Check out the best odds at DraftKings Sportsbook

DeChambeau might be the hottest player of the four entering the week. He has won back-to-back LIV events in Singapore and South Africa, and he did it with exactly the kind of power and confidence that can overwhelm a field when the putter behaves. LIV’s own rankings piece had him first among its Masters players, noting that his driving has been elite and his putting has also been excellent this season.

The big question with Bryson is always control versus chaos at Augusta. When he is driving it like this and staying patient on the greens, he can absolutely win. But Augusta can also punish overly aggressive lines and leave him playing defense if the timing slips. Still, with two straight wins and plenty of belief, he feels far more dangerous than a typical third or fourth choice on a Masters board.

Rory McIlroy (+1300) Check out the best odds at BetMGM Sportsbook

McIlroy enters with a very different kind of storyline. He is the defending champion after finally winning the Masters in 2025 to complete the career Grand Slam, and that emotional burden is now gone. In theory, that makes him freer and more dangerous this year, especially with a chance to become the first back-to-back Masters winner since Tiger Woods in 2001-02.

But his recent form is harder to trust than the number suggests. He withdrew from Bay Hill, then finished only T46 at The Players, and PGA Tour coverage noted that he brought two straight finishes outside the top 20 into Augusta after previously stringing together 18 straight top-10s. That does not eliminate him, but it does explain why he is a little longer than the other top names despite being the reigning champion.
