Well the second play I want to dive into tonight is our first moneyline parlay on the ice this season. We only have a three game slate here tonight so I do not want to force action but I am comfortable with this play on opening night and think that home ice will play a strong factor into the games tonight. Vegas arguably has the most to play for at home after raising the cup and having their banner revealed tonight but with the cup hangover and a hungry Seattle squad that can sneak up on anyone, we are going to dive into the other two games.

Nashville Predators vs. Tampa Bay Lightning
Andrei Vasilevskiy will be out for the first few months of the season after undergoing back surgery and while the Vezina Trophy winner is a huge part of this team that will be missed, Tampa Bay is still elite. They are the better squad here and retain a lot of their Stanley Cup caliber talent and face a Nashville squad that did not do too much in the offseason to change.
I expect them to be better and have some jump in their skates tonight in the season opener but Tampa Bay has taken the last four meetings straight between these squads and have not won in Tampa for a while. We are getting Tampa Bay pretty cheap at home here at -160 on the money line and they are not a bad look to play straight up but I'd rather throw them in the two legged here to give us a way to play the other side.
Chicago Blackhawks vs. Pittsburgh Pirates
This is just a brutal spit for the rebuilding Chicago Blackhawks to start the season. They face two Stanley Cup contenders on the road in back-to-back nights in Pittsburgh and Boston to start the season. Chicago should be better than last year, there are high expectations around Connor Bedard and I expect them to play strong to night but this is a mismatch. Pittsburgh is the far better team here with elite playmakers on multiple lines and a stud net minder in Tristan Jarry who should be fresh.
