A year ago I would not be amped up to heavily about a clash between these two squads but that is the wonderful thing about the ever-changing landscape that is professional sports, specifically the NHL. If you give a squad a few roster moves, draft picks, and time to gel then the squad will be completely different in a hurry.

Seattle Kraken vs. Detroit Red Wings Prediction
Thus far on the season, Detroit has looked excellent and like a lethal force scoring 30 goals through six games for a stellar GPG average of five. They are currently sporting the second best power play unit in the league behind New Jersey converting at 39.1% and the squad looks good. Alex DeBrincat, Dylan Larkin, JT Compher, and David Perron are just a few of the stars on the this squad that have made them look so strong in this early season but I do not believe it is a fluke, Detroit is here to play.
On the flip side we have the Seattle Kraken who took another huge leap forward last season knocking off defending the Stanley Cup Champion Colorado Avalanche in the first round of the playoffs and despite the rough start this season, I like this spot for them to push forward. Seattle is just 1-4-1 this season despite holding a 7-4 victory over the Carolina Hurricanes. This is the first game of the four game road trip for Seattle and things could really get out of hand fast if they go drop three of these games.
This is a tough task against a red hot team and Seattle knows they are going to have to score to keep themselves in this one. I am trusting Jordan Eberle, Yanni Gourde, and Andre Burakovsky and Co. put some of the pieces together tonight and we see a slug fest in the Motor City.
