We have Monday night puck tonight and a couple great matchups for this nice little four game slate. The Tampa Bay Lightning are up north for a clash with the Toronto Maple Leafs and I expect this one to be exciting like these head-to-head clashes always are.

Tampa Bay Lightning vs. Toronto Maple Leafs Prediction
After starting the season 5-1-1, Toronto has dropped four straight games and are under .500 on home ice where the Maple Leaf faithful can get vicious if the boys are losing. This is not only a big spot for them to rebound from the four game skid but it is also a massive rivalry spot for the Leafs and even bigger being on home ice. Toronto was finally able to get them monkey off their backs and knocked off Tampa in round one of the playoffs last season (despite almost letting Tampa back into the series) but they still have bad blood with this team.
Both squads still have the core of the teams they have had over the last few years and will be looking to replicate success from the last few seasons this year but at the end of the day, both these squads are playing for a cup or bust and these regular season clashes between each other always feel like playoff games. Toronto took the earlier meeting this year between these squads 4-3 and I expect another high scoring affair tonight.
Jonas Johansson remains in net for the bolts and while he is having a solid year overall, his GAA on the road is north of four. On the flip side, Ilya Samsonov is expected for the Leafs sporting a 3.55 GAA and sub .880 save percentage.
