We have a smaller slate here Wednesday night, but still a couple solid matches worth diving into, and I am ready to get after it. The 2023 Eastern Conference Champion Florida Panthers are in our nation's capital for a clash with the Washington Capitals, in a game I see the Cats dominating on the ice.

Despite winning four of their last five games to bring the record on the season to a respectable standing of 5-4-1, Washington has struggled immensely this season. They are currently sporting the second-worst offensive unit in the league, second to only San Jose averaging just 1.91 GPG overall. To make matters worse for them here, the Caps are worse on home ice, where they are sporting a 1.43 GPG average.
Florida hasn't been crazy by any means so far this season, but as we saw in the postseason last year, this team is still elite, and I believe that wholeheartedly. Yes, they have had to lean on some guys a bit more than the team that won the President's Cup a few years ago, but the superstars on that roster are still elite players in the league and are capable of taking over a game.
Darcy Kuemper has been fine this season, but Sergei Bobrovsky has been better, and I will back him here tonight. Bob is 5-3-1 with a 2.68 GAA and .904 save percentage, despite a bad outing last time out (the Cats won, but he conceded four goals in 22 shots). I am all over Florida in this spot.
