Anaheim Ducks vs. Nashville Predators Prediction
Anaheim is 7-3 in their last 10 games, and are sporting a solid 8-6 record thus far on the season. I expect the Ducks to come out with some fire in an advantageous matchup over a struggling Predators team, but that does not mean I expect Nashville to just give in either. The Predators have a dynamic top line with some speed, they just are not necessarily a complete squad. I think we seem them in some of these track races quite a bit this year, especially with a more evenly matched squad.
Nashville is currently just 5-9 and they have lost four of their last five, but they have been competitive. Despite the losses, they are still averaging north of three goals per game across the last week at 3.4, and they are scoring early as well. The Predators are currently the number one first period overs team in the league at 11/14, smashing at a massive 78.57% clip, and are 9-1 across their last 10 games. The over has hit in seven of their last 10 games, and now they get to face a red-hot Anaheim squad who has had no trouble scoring with Trevor Zegras this year.
Three of the last four meetings between these squads have cleared six goals, and I think we see something similar here tonight in an important home game for Nashville.
