I have my eye on a few games on the ice tonight so I'm heading to the Scotiabank Saddledome - one of the coolest arena names in all of sports - up in Calgary Alberta, Canada. The Minnesota Wild are visiting the Calgary Flames in a matchup I am excited for and expect good things out of.

Minnesota Wild vs. Calgary Flames Prediction
Minnesota is not having a terrific start to the season, especially by the standards they have tried to set the last few seasons in their division. At 8-10-4 they are sitting second to last in the division ahead of only the Chicago Blackhawks. With that said, they were 5-10-4 a few days ago so three straight wins is momentum and they have scored 13 goals in those three games.
On the flip side, Calgary sits at 10-11-13 and is in the middle of the table for their division. They have won three of their last five and are coming off a home loss to Vancouver.
There are no crazy statistics to back this one, it's just honestly a gut play I love. Neither net minder in this one phases me and these teams tend to play with some crazy pace when they meet, the last few times they just haven't opened up the floodgates. The total is 11-8-1 for Minny and 15-9 for Calgary this year; with the Wild finally scoring, I will bite here.
