New Jersey Devils vs. Carolina Hurricanes Prediction: Can Sebastian Aho, Hurricanes Put Up Goals?

The second game we are diving into should be a rowdy one. The Carolina Panthers (29-16-5) will be hosting the New Jersey Devils (25-21-3) for a clash at PNC Arena in Raleigh, North Carolina, and these teams are poised for a slugfest.

New Jersey Devils vs. Carolina Hurricanes Prediction

New Jersey overs have been a solid play this season, and with the way they are playing right now, I have to get in on this one. Four of their last five games have gone over, and those games are averaging about nine goals. They are dishing it out and taking it, and that has been the story for them all year. Timo Meier, Nico Hischier, Jesper Bratt, Dawson Mercer, Tyler Toffoli, and the Hughes brothers; this team has a bunch of talent. But to be blunt, they are terrible defensively. They rank sixth-best in the league with a 3.43 GPG average offensively, good! But they are dead last in the league defensively, conceding 3.84 goals per game. That is bad; very, very bad.

Carolina is loaded with guys that can hurt you like Aho, Teuvo, Burns, Svechnikov, Jarvis, Kotkaniemi; the list goes on and on. They have one of the best rosters in hockey and they play like it, I expect them to do so again tonight. Carolina struggled big time defensively, and although they have put it back together, the pace this game will be played with will brew goals regardless. My second point here is that Pyotr Kochetkov is between the pipes for the Canes. I like him, but he hasn't been their best, and he'll have his hands full tonight.
