Seattle Kraken vs. New York Islanders Prediction

This feels like a really good spot here for the Islanders at home. They are 2-1 out of the break with the lone loss coming to Calgary by a score of 5-2 a few days ago but they have had three days to rest and recover for this one. They have still lost some games under new head coach Patrick Roy but the team has played well and I love the talent on this roster. Bo Horvat, Kyle Palmieri, and Mathew Barzal... This team is just loaded.

On the flip side, Seattle is winless out of the break so far and they will now get a rested Isles squad on a back-to-back and I believe Philipp Grubauer will be in net here for Seattle. Grubs has not started since December 9th and has struggled overall this season so I expect some rust here.

New York sends their No. 1 Ilya Sorokin out between the pipes today and despite a somewhat down year, he is still a top ten net minder in the league and is 2-0 with a 2.00 GAA out of the all star break.

Just really feeling it for the Islanders tonight so let's see what the boys can do.
