Nothing like a 20 minute sweat. There are other good plays in this game, Edmonton has been electric while St. Louis has won six of eight. Both teams have been trading victories head-to-head, with St. Louis taking three of the last five, but all alternating. These squads tend to play each other well, but it will be the first time they have met this season and the makeup of this St. Louis roster has changed immensely.
I think we see teams get after it early here. St. Louis has been all over it in the early scoring department, and if you want to keep pace with the Oilers, you need to get on the board early. St. Louis is currently ranked third-best in the league for first period over 1.5's this season, and Edmonton is not far behind. They also both rank top-10 in GIFT's. Those statistics, plus the assumed pace and style of play, is a recipe for goals. No point in taking the full game over if you don't think they score two in the first, so we'll look for them to start early.
