Dallas Stars vs. Ottawa Senators Prediction: Can Jason Robertson, Stars Bounce Back In Big Way?

The second total we are diving into today takes us to the Canadian Tire Center in Ontario, Canada, as the Ottawa Senators (23-27-3) host the Dallas Stars (34-15-8) for their second meeting of the year. Back on December 15th, Dallas snuck away with a 5-4 home victory over the Senators.

Dallas Stars vs. Ottawa Senators Prediction

Well, this goes against the trend - it is indeed another Dallas Stars over but it is not on home ice where they have the ridiculous record. With that said, this game should see action. Ottawa is a solid 30-21 for the over on the season and 19-9 for the over on home ice this season yet they have gone under in five straight games.

If you believe in positive regression like I do, they are due for a high scoring affair and should have hit the total when they played Tampa Bay the other night. Ottawa is a perfect team for totals, they score a lot and get scored on a lot.

Ottawa is the fourth word defensive team in the league on home ice sporting a 3.53 GAA but they score 3.43 GPG on home ice to bring it close to neutral. On the flip side, Dallas is coming off a poor effort against New York and is looking to rebound.

They are one of the best squads in the league and main contenders out of the Western Conference, they are well aware of how much the Senators tend to give up and should be all over them from the get-go. I expect a lot of pace out of both squads; look for a third straight meeting between these two teams to go over.
