Ottawa Senators vs. Washington Capitals Prediction: Can Alexander Ovechkin, Capitals Start Hot?
Well we have a smaller slate this Monday than we did last week for presidents day but still four solid games to choose from and I am ready to dive into one of my favorite wagers on the board. Tonight, the Ottawa Senators (25-27-3) visit the Washington Capitals (26-21-9) in our nation's Capitol. I do not think we have ever had a wager on a Senators-Capitals, especially a first period wager but here we are.

Ottawa Senators vs. Washington Capitals Prediction
Ottawa is the best first period scoring team in the National Hockey League sporting a stellar 67.27% clip on the season; in line with that as expected, they also lead the league in GIFTS at 70.91% and are 8-2 across their last ten games.
Ottawa is in great form having played in five straight games where they won or lost by a goal alone and they have won three of their last four over stellar competition at the Tampa bay Lightning then hosting the Dallas Stars and Vegas Golden Knights, dropping four goals on all three squads.
Washington is more in the middle of the pack regarding their numbers on the season as a whole but we have to look at stretches like this in their own respects. Washington has been absolutely on fire and Alexander Ovechkin is rolling.
The overtime loss to the Cats hurt the win streak but the boys are still feeling themselves and in great form. The Caps are 7-3 for their last ten first period o1.5's and the same for the GIFT, 7-3.
