St. Louis Blues vs. Edmonton Oilers Prediction: Can Connor McDavid, Oilers Get Hot Against the Blues?
This is the smallest NHL slate we have had in a week or so but still two good games on to keep us puck junkies entertained for the night. Tonight, we head up to Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, where the Edmonton Oilers (34-20-2) host the St. Louis Blues (30-26-2) in a Western Conference clash I am really excited for.

St. Louis Blues vs. Edmonton Oilers Prediction
St. Louis has taken the last two meetings head-to-head and three of the last four. They play the Oilers well but after smoking them 6-3 last time they met I expect some fire from the Connor McDavid and the Oilers. Edmonton has had some lackluster performances since the win streak (which is allowed) but they are coming off a strong victory over the Los Angels Kings and will be pushing hard to get one more win on this home stand before going back on the road.
Both squads have struggled lately. St. Louis has made multiple pushes throughout the season where they start looking like a playoff team then follow it with a losing streak. They are 2-6 across their las seven and have been egregiously outscored, most notably in the first period where the differential in those five loses has been 10-2.
The only way I see a tight game here is if Jordan Binnington stands on his head but I just don't think I see that against a hungry Oilers squad. On the flip side, the Blues need wins and points after a bad stretch that has them six points out of the playoff spot now and if you want to beat Edmonton, you have to score.
I think this one is much more likely to go over with all things considered and with how poorly St. Louis has played early, goals should come early.
