Tampa Bay Lightning vs. Florida Panthers Prediction: Can Brayden Point, Lighting Put Up Goals?

Well, we have a loaded slate this Saturday and I am excited to dive into this one. The battle of South Florida is underway as the Tampa Bay Lightning (35-25-6) are visiting the Florida Panthers (45-18-4) for a clash at Amerant Bank Arena as these squads meet for the sixth time this season.

Tampa Bay Lightning vs. Florida Panthers Prediction

Florida holds a 3-2 lead on the season series and have won three of the last four. Three of the last four have seen at least six goals with two of them flying over. Most recently, Florida stomped Tampa Bay in enemy territory in a commanding 9-2 victory.

I really think we can get away with just backing the Cats again here but I am going to trust matchup history and talent here. Florida absolutely embarrassed Tampa Bay last time they met and the Bolts are one of the best, most experienced hockey teams in the league; rivalry aside losing that bad is something you take personally, add in the battle of South Florida and this one means a lot.

I really do like the Cats to bounce back here after a shutout loss and losing just their fourth game in their last 22 but I will likely double dip if I do because I have to take this total. Tampa Bay looked amazing in their last two games and the stars like Mr. Brayden Point are showing out - I expect them to go get theirs today.

On the flip side, Florida is too good to get shutout and they don't care that they already killed Tampa Bay this season, they want to do it again. Andrei Vasilevskiy and Sergei Bobrovsky are incredible net minders that I would never recommend fading but I just think it lines up too well here today.
