Montreal Canadiens vs. Edmonton Oilers Prediction: Can Connor McDavid, Oilers Take Care of Business?

The last game we are going to dive into tonight takes us up north to Alberta, Canada as two squads from the Great White North clash at Rogers place. The Montreal Canadiens (25-31-11) are set to do battle with the Edmonton Oilers (40-21-4) and I really like the home team to set the tone in this one.

Montreal Canadiens vs. Edmonton Oilers Prediction

Connor McDavid and Edmonton have been incredible since December 21st and looks like the squad we know they should be. Outside of a few losses to some mediocre teams (legit just 2-3) they have dominated every game they have played in or lost to really good opponents, I really can only think of losses to Boston and Colorado in the last month.

I like this Habs squad and Martin St. Louis is working with what he's got but at the end of the day it's not much. They are rather poor on the road defensively and have struggled to score lately; with the way Edmonton is playing, I find it hard to believe they bury too many biscuits tonight.

Edmonton has conceded just five goals in their last three games despite coming up short against Colorado, they played a great hockey game and every metric points to the fact that they should have won that game. I like the Oilers to bounce back here against an inferior opponent, avoid giving up too many special teams opportunities or letting Montreal jump out to a lead early and they take care of business.
